Panel-Cast: TMNT 150

All good things come to an end, like this legendary turtles run which came to an end 50 issues ago. But all mid things come to an end too, and God has finally shown us the mercy of ending the tumblrcore furry book that replaced TMNT after issue 100. I've probably complained about this a hundred times already, but now I'm complaining about it for the last time because the era of mutant town is finally over! It's a time for rejoicing!

This book stopped being my cup of tea when it turned into furry central, but once upon a time i considered it a masterpiece. So as the world's most obsessive ninja turtle freak it's my duty to honor this run by reviewing, and trying to understand, it's final issue.

This big boi sized end of an era is all about Donatello, which is actually a pretty neat choice to wrap things up on. Donny is slipping through the timestream or something, teaming up with his science-goo-turtle-sons to battle his weirdo future self, and in the process he might learn a thing or two, and maybe, possibly, create the circumstances that led to the Ninja Turtles being born in the first place. It's one of those full circle kind of dealies.

I barely understood most of what was happening because i stopped reading this regularly years ago. But i understood enough. It was cool as Hell even if i didn't know what was going on for most of it, and I say Godspeed to a series that was overall excellent, even when I didn't like it anymore. My bitching means nothing and matters less. This series revitalized the Ninja Turtles and made them cool again after Michael Bay tried to Shrekify and destroy them forever. For that, it will always have my respect.

Join me in honoring a decade of IDW TMNT by ranting about furries and reviewing this momentous finale. TMNT itself isn't really going anywhere, there will be a new number 1 by next week. Let us all join hands and pray that it doesn't just immediately pick up in mutant town again. Or else I'll have to keep complaining about it and nobody wants that, least of all me.
