Hey y'all!
Continuing our 50-ish Anniversary deep dive into the Railroad archives, this week we unearthed a 2005 visit to the show from none other than Boots Riley. We started off with a full set of the revolutionary music made alongside Pam the Funkstress in The Coup, and his side projects like Street Sweeper Social Club w/ Tom Morello. Then you can hear our 2005 conversation right at the one-hour mark (also featuring the Mighty G-Man, and Miles Solay from Outernational) .
I'm also attaching a longer cut of the interview as a bonus file below for my Patreon people, with about 10 more minutes getting deeper into the state of things with George Bush at that time, how The Coup snuck their way into the industry, and the perfect time capsule of Boots promoting his Myspace page at the end :)
