Yet more AIM/ICQ service updates and fixes for you!
This update ran a little later than we wanted it to, primarily because of a lot of additional backend changes and fixes we were working on in order to help extend things for the coming Escargot 2.0 (see previous post for preview).
Additionally, our updates will likely be every other week rather than trying to hit every week, hence the dated Simpsons reference in the title of this post.
Updates:
AIM: Buddy icons should now work on clients older than AIM 5.0
AIM/ICQ: Aliases aka nicknames are now fully supported, please report any issues
AIM/ICQ: "AOL System Msg" or "1" on ICQ can be used to get a list of sessions or disconnect your other sessions. IM "help" for more information.
Fixes:
AIM: Issue where two clients, signed on to the same user, fight over re-joining chat should be fixed
ICQ: In some profiles gender was not returning correctly, should now be fixed
ICQ: Fixes for updating and viewing interests
AIM/ICQ: Larger special "expression" smiley packs that weren't previously working should now work
Soon:
MSN: We've made even more progress on Escargot 2.0 since the last announcement, you'll hear more soon
AIM: Finalizing features for AIM 1 to 5, patches for 6 - 7 (which do work)
AOL: More content from former channels will be restored
