Complete Bottle Workflow. PT02: UV-Unwrapping

In Part 2 of this Bottle workflow, we dive into RizomUV to look at UV Unwrapping our bottle in order for us to add details later on in the process.

Great tutorial! I currently use the same workflow where I model in C4d/Blender then export to Rizom for UV unwrapping. One thing I would mention to anyone doing this is to make sure that all your UVs retain the same pixel density (relative size to one another). This helps moving forward with texturing. Say you create a glass material that has some smudges or scratches. If the body of the bottle is WAY bigger than the "punt" of the bottle the glass material scratches/smudges will be distorted and not match cleanly with the rest of the bottle. I encountered this problem when adding micro details to the bottle with a small noise map. The noise in one area was correct and the other areas were way larger etc. Again great tutorial!
