2024-07-13 23:23:30 +0000 UTCSo Jihyo joined JYP in in 2005 at 8 years old. JYPE was known as Tae-Hong Planning Corporation until 2001 when it became JYP, with the founder being JYP. Now we don't know if the trainees at the time still considered the company by the former name. Only those in the company at the time can say. Now if Sunmi ever said the same thing as Jihyo, then that must have been the case, since they joined at the same time.

2024-07-12 05:43:42 +0000 UTCS. Korea Law changed the Age System to the International System on June 27 or 28, 2023. So it hasn't been long. I guess it will take longer for older people to get used to it.

2024-07-11 17:59:27 +0000 UTCJihyo had participated in a competition on Junior Naver for a child role and was signed thru a different company/label. She was then scouted by JYP Entertainment, and began traineeship with them when she was around 8 or 9.
