What would happen, theoretically, if MC just suddenly started calling Charles “Chuck” in a hypothetical probably smugly antagonistic encounter, possibly post C-winning-at-losing (or maybe still there if C insisted on interrupting tracking that downright sinful bead of sweat make its progression down Reese’s beautiful body 💦 & totally not eye-fucking) at Turn the Page. I’m torn between my deep need to FAFO & a fear that he’s the real monster 👹 at the end of the book or maybe that’s just my Reese-centric feels / hackles rising whenever he says Reesie because jealousy is a vicious beast. 🦦(that’s an otter emoji in case it’s too small) - because otters go full psycho murder husband jealous rage on each other - those adorable furry fuckers will bash their rivals into submission with jagged seashells & rocks & drown them! Then they sweetly float around holding paws with their lover while sharing a snack & feeding each other all cutesy like. 🪓🍴🍕🍹❤️🔥🚩🐚🦦🐾🦞🖤👀

I’ve been well despite the sightly cold weather here in the UK 🥶, I will feel great when I’m off work next week 🍾 😆.

I read some things and I blushed but also just: Wow, Char and Zarina shake hands on so many things just Zarina has some more class/elegance at least by NOT naming body parts lol. Zarina w/o a RO is just Char a flirtatious insatiable and playful link that won't stay for too long. A ton of fun in the moment, but will never be a constant. Thank God, Zarina got the gang or else she'd be another Char in intimacy. Not only that, Char and Zarina shaking hands out here on not showing anything to others despite looking at you. Also testing their partners for fun, having those hedonistic aspects. Just. Woah. CHAR U COULD'VE BEEN SO ANNOYING WITH ZARINA.... IN ANOTHER AU... Char and Zarina is a boss bitch off. They could've had a joined slay... but alas... but alas...

Micheal being a JR-mancer adds an extra dimension to what he will be uncovering while romancing R and J. 💜There's the bloodline formalities with R alongside how C might have treated J growing up, so seeing that come together and how Micheal will react excites me. The roast was one of my favorite parts of this post! I'm glad it made you smile, and I'm certain Micheal might be able to get under C's skin through his indifference or well-chosen verbal digs. 2025-02-18 23:30:05 +0000 UTCSame! 🥰 I'm delighting in how divisive Char is for readers in addition to the category that Alex tends to occupy all on their own with C as their beloathed. Ooh, I do find that to be a *little* Char of you, but valid because they may shake things up and present unique conflicts/insights for your MCs. 'Absolute freak behavior' is fitting for them. Your second comment has me like: 👀(🟦) at that detail you noticed. It's very well-spotted with how important gaze offs/stare offs are on R's romance route. They choose to look at the MC unlike anyone else. (The sunglasses thing, future angst stuff, when R rarely needs to drop eye contact, etc.) I won't say too much on this detail! In Book Two, there's a choice that's harder to get where you get a contrast between how R and C regard the MC when they're angling for a certain thing that's brutal. It's one of the few times the narrative makes note of C actually looking you in the eyes/their eye color/the emotion present. The other two mentions are if you manage to flirt with them more befittingly for their taste, but even, then the description is unlike R's and brief/less painful with angst. I'll just wait until you or Alex find it. 🙃

Char is the type of character I love to hate I like how he/she gets under me and my MC skin and I especially love the little roast at the end, just the idea of C trying to seduce the MC only to met with a wall of indifference puts a smile on my face because I imagine Char isn’t used to people not falling all over themselves for him/her. Sorry Charles Micheal maybe a lustful guy but he still has (albeit it very low) standards. Great work as always looking forward to learning (and love-hating) more about this character 😁.

But speaking of differences between R and C - Y'all ever think about how in romance, R's eyes are always described, their blueness, their hue, how the color might change in the light and how they look at the MC. But even while being a frequent visitor to Char's bed, you at most get them staring at the MC without anything else. They stare sometimes. They're so closed off. MC might get a joke, caustic mocking, deep talks, but they'll never get a look into Char's eyes.

I love how people in general are split between "need to submit a grant proposal to study them" vs "hate them unilaterally, will shank them in a dark alley, no payment necessary" Is it a *little* Char of me to like them because they're interesting and unpredictable? Debauched is such a good way to describe them. Staring at the MC in bed without small talk or cuddling... checking to see how much the MC will put up with... enjoys being a pest... absolute freak behavior.

Do NOT come after my baby or we are going to have problems. And if they’re mean to A?? Especially on my JxMC Route?!? There is gonna be a hell to pay. I need know how to bully C effectively cause my J MC is gonna rage lol. My JxR MC would too but unfortunately I think she will also actually kind of begrudgingly like C. Just because my MC would find them amusing when C’s attitude isn’t targeted at them or her lovers. She’s my unhinged MC though so what can you expect 😮💨

Please imagine me re-reading this sentence while deviously stroking my cat, ahem. 🐈⬛ I'm loving your thinking and the connections you're making between the two bloodline heirs. I can't say too much due to /spoilers/; however, the sadness you feel for R (even while not in romance with them) is well-earned and very sweet. Learning more about C is likely going to foster more division about their character, which I'm all here for. They're messed up in more ways than one, yet sometimes there could be glimmers of /why/ that is or minor positives like when they 'helped' (in their own way) in 'Bloodletting'. They are also capable of heinous things, so... Their character is volatile. 🙃 I wonder what Ms. Verner thinks about all of this, hmm. 🖤

2025-02-18 16:22:39 +0000 UTCYay, for the Ouro Jr. mention and chalupas continuing to leave everyone at a loss (myself included)! 😏 Your description for wanting to intently study C is perfection! Learning what makes them truly tick can be difficult without your MC getting closer to them; however, there are enough hints for you to infer, especially with how you love J and also have a JR-mancer, iirc. (A's behavior around C is also important.) C tends to be destructive while having their own motivations for what they do, although sometimes it boils down to 'just 'cause' because they're like that. Not always though! We shall see. 👀

They’re “meant” to end up partnered, but they couldn’t be anymore incompatible 😭😭😭 This makes me so so so so sad for R?!? Like they just wanna be loved and it feels like C is fundamentally unable to be a normal human being. Like I don’t wanna be too harsh on C cause we haven’t seen much of their full character or backstory. But their posts haven’t been too encouraging thus far 😫😫😫 If R and C end up married in their non-romance routes, me and my MCs and gonna lose our minds.

It's the truth, but also your reaction has me 🤝 because they'd just say that randomly, unprompted, and in public without any fear of redress. They'd be grinning as well. Psychic damage, indeed. (I was thinking about you when this published though.😏) The first snippet was one I was just waiting for you to read, especially given the other bullet points in their spicy post. The contrast, the 'wtf is Char doing now?', the fact you're /sharing/ a pillow, etc. I'm glad that you have questions for C! Because they will have a chance to answer more of them as we tread deeper into the story; Book Three is paramount to them overall with their arc and sprinkled hints in Book Two coming up again. There's more to them. What's sending me is that 'chalupas' is getting more mileage than 'Ouro Junior'; honestly, all of them live rent free in my mind... Sadly. >.> It's the Char effect. 🔥 Unlocking a sliver of affection (an emotional connection) from them would be difficult, if that's possible. (At least they may canonically admit that the MC is hot. It's a small win considering everything else that can come up with C.) D-do you actually have a C pinterest board? 👀 Oh, I love it, regardless. I'm most excited for you to explore the different options. I suspect you'll maybe settle on the caustic flirt ones for some of your playthroughs. The choice options with C--their reactions--can be interesting. The set will vary based on your choices overlays/choices; however, even the one where they aren't 'flirting' (sort of) has some out of pocket callouts from them. XD

(There's a scene in Book Two where the two come into contact that's brief yet very telling for possible future exchanges!) Once the MC goes to sleep (commits to staying over in their bed), then C would likely drift off, whereas Mal would keep staring through the night, no blinks (depending on a few things.) 👀 (Eventually, that will change for your solo Mal-mancer who's loving. 🥰)
