Hello Returning Visitors!
I hope you're doing well. ๐
Our most recent TFS: Book Two alpha drop was only a few days ago, but I'm eager to get into our upcoming content for September.
Our writings for this month slip back into Alternate Perspectives with a startling commonality of being emotional. One moment from the first book that readers might be curious about is the private conversation R and J have before the memorium, the one where they're furtive by the oak tree. 'Holding a Candle For You' sheds light on that while also being set in J's POV, a J. Corvin who previously crushed on the Returning Visitor. ๐ Let's see how our Detective was handling that grim night. 'Maladaptive Tendencies' is obviously going to be about B. Warrick, isn't it? Okay, no, it's a Mal perspective, lol. ๐ Many of you requested more of these from them, except this isn't a canon scene because they know so much; instead, you'll be treated to intriguing insight by reading how Mal thinks, copes, and feels in a certain situation. Not all is what it seems for them.
I'm excited for both of these because of their intensity that will be balanced out by our Lacuna Rambles that will offer levity. (Not the one about the spriggan's death.) An unassuming choice will be highlighted this month along with a tie-in from our Patreon content now coming up in the main series. ๐ถ I've been patiently waiting to share that. There will be more TFS Q&A posts for Evergreens and Hickory patrons including, 'Hand Over Heart'. This is a spicy writing that will cool you off at the start because its snowy setting and story build lends itself to how and why S. Dorran cherishes the MC later on. (It's also lengthy, a slow boil building into a rolling one. โจ)
Our Author's View focuses on the ???'s influence on certain scenes. There will also be the surprise for Hickories I teased last month. ๐
We'll have another alpha drop at the end of this month! ๐ฒ (One that has the gang all together.)
Hopefully, this Content Schedule gives you lots to look forward to.
>Reminder: Please be sure to see this post about adding my email address to your contacts so you can enjoy the RO character portraits. I try to make contact within 48 hours of a pledge; the spam folder can be dastardly.<
Once again I'm including an attachment of September's Content Schedule as an image file, and it is displayed above in addition to the typed out dates/content.
You can click to enlarge the picture of September's Content Schedule.
As always, let me know if you have any questions! Thank you for your support. ๐ฅฐ

-Lacuna Rambles/Thoughts/Gif Reacts #1: Oops! โฆ I Did It Again ๐ถ
This post's title is a reference to an iconic pop lyric. We'll see how it links to Book Two; I believe a few of you will have guesses based on passing references in our content.
September 9th
-MBC 1: Holding a Candle For You ๐ฏ
A J. Corvin POV that's set during the memorium. We will learn how 'the Detective' was shouldering the community event, but also how J was struggling with their feelings too. ๐
(Also, there's more insight about what R and J were talking about before you arrived!)
September 12th
-Lacuna Rambles/Thoughts/Gif Reacts #2: It's What It Deserves ๐ฒ
A look at the methods of death for the corrupted spriggan! I always love learning how your Returning Visitors handled the tree creature's ultimate demise; there are a variety of methods, each with its own implication. You'll see your choice come back up again. ๐

-TFS Q&A Session (๐ฒ๐)
Question: "What kind of person would the ROs have become if the MC didn't exist or had no impact in their lives? I know some would have become drastically different....."
A very interesting question that will be heartbreaking for a few characters. Prepare yourself!
September 18th
-Lacuna Rambles/Thoughts/Gif Reacts #3: Creature Comforts (๐๐ฒ๐)
A spotlight on a specific exchange that I feel might be overlooked since the choice set has about ten options. While all of them are equally valid, this Fernweh gang exchange is worth taking a closer look at. Someone proposes a unique reason for why there's a lack of furniture within the TFS grandfather's cabin beyond the fire-proofing measures, lending itself to the empty, if not sad, atmosphere you'll read about in this book now that your return isn't as fresh.
(I have a lot of feelings about the descriptions of settings in the series. ๐)

-Extended Progress Update (I spaced this one more favorably! I hope to be able to talk about a particular section of Book Two by then. Hint: โ๐โ๐ฉ.)
September 23rd
-Author's Choice: Hand Over Heart [Spicy] ๐ฅ
Dramatic Summary:
Your night takes an unexpected turn, though fortunately there was no fishtailing from the dangerous black ice on the road and you aren't alone. While your besties R. Verner and B. Warrick are there to keep you warm as the temperature plummets, someone else will take over, assuming you can be located in time. S. Dorran has a clear plan, but you know your whereabouts being an unknown will be nipping at them worse than the frost on your cheeks.
Short Summary:
S. Dorran shows just how much they cherish youโmind, body and soulโafter an incident.
Emoji Summary:

-MBC 2: Maladaptive Tendencies ๐
A Mal POV that might leave you questioning what you know because it's their perspective.
I can't summarize it, but I will tease a line:
Mal despises the distance they create, still unable to completely let the idea of you go too far away.

-TFS Q&A Session (๐ฒ๐)
I might do one about R and Ms. Verner or something different. I'm waffling between two. ๐ง

Glimpses into ???'s influence on the narrative, including unique choices and scenes. ๐

-Surprise: A Hickory Surprise ๐
Fun Fact: Originally, I was going to have this tier be called 'alder' before I realized that had too much of an obscure story link that I wanted to wait to reveal much like this surprise. I also felt the icon for hickories is more colorful and eye-catching than the tragic alder tree. >.>
