The airline I work for - Behind the scenes

As an airline pilot and "public figure" I feel I should be a little bit discrete and keep both worlds separated as much as possible. That's the reason why I'm not promoting any specific airline which is the reason it can be difficult for people to guess the airline I work for.

Most information you find on the internet about 'DutchPilotGirl' refers to the airline Ryanair, which I left after just one year (but its stated nowhere). I joined AlbaStar, a Spanish charter, and worked for them for 2,5 years. Great colleagues, great atmosphere, good contract and an adventurous lifestyle. Exactly what I was looking for, back then.

However, a lack of free time, social life and not being able to plan ahead made me consider my long term options. In the end, future perspective, stability and free time became important for me.

So, for which airline am I currently working? Since the end of 2019 I am employed by a Dutch airline called Transavia. Transavia operates Boeing 737's only and is based in Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Rotterdam.

I am based in Amsterdam and the majority of the destinations are located in Europe. We usually don't stay at those destinations overnight but we do have some stops in Dubai, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia, that's about it. If by chance you find yourself aboard a Transavia airplane, I might be the First Officer ;)

I hope I was able to give you some information you did not know yet. I will continue to publish photo's and text which I won't upload on my other channels.
