One of the hardest parts of editing a video is deciding what to take out and what to leave in.
The recent Wacky Weekend with Connor was a tough one, because even though the episode clocked in at 29 minutes of terror, there was still so much that I ended up taking out to refine it down.
Fortunately though, we have these Patreon exclusive episodes, where these deleted scenes can see the light of day, mixed in with embarrassing outtakes.
And there was no shortage of either, given this is one of the longest behind the scenes videos we've released so far.

I'll admit, this episode turned out far better than I could've hoped and even made it on to No.10 on Youtube Trending globally (a first for Abroad in Japan!).
These are popular videos that are handpicked by Youtube and shared worldwide on the platform. I'm glad they felt two British guys whinging in a mouldy room was an appropriate choice!
Then later in the week, it was subject to an incredible Youtube glitch where the video titles was switched with another random video.
The title and the thumbnail couldn't have been more perfect 😂
For now though guys, enjoy the video and we've got a new Abroad in Japan video out today featuring Asakusa and Ryotaro for the first time in a million years!

Christ... you said it didn't capture the love hotel in all it's (horrifying) glory, but it definitely captured the vibe of it enough for me to feel a bit queasy watching 🤢 thank god this part of the video is unlisted otherwise the yakuza might be after you for slagging off their hotel front

Amazing to see something worse than the $10 a night hotel rooms I’ve stayed in when traveling through Mexico during college breaks! I wonder if filming and carrying the equipment around makes it feel distracting or if you end up needing to be more observant/present in the moment trying to translate an experience to film. Anyway, excited to see more behind the scenes!

Did you look in the mini fridge area where they serve the coffee and tea packets? And even if they don't, you could've just called the hotel front desk to give you one.
