So I’ve just arrived back from an intense Sapporo Snow Festival - I was glad to see many of you were able to make our impromptu live show in the slip-and-slide nightmare that was an icy Odori Park. It was my first live show out and about in public and it was pretty damn intense, but undeniably fun, particularly as we had Natsuki, Pete, Sharla and Chiaki thrown into the mix.
It didn't all go to plan - but now I’ve worked out how to do it, it’s given me the confidence to do it again later this month, when I’m out with Ryotaro. I'd love to do it every month though - it makes stumbling through the streets of Japan way more fun.

ALSO today, I finally put the absurd hot sauce to good use, which I received as a Christmas present in a December Patreon vlog (from the evil Jonathan Zisser) and you can witness the hell it unleashed upon Natsuki’s mouth yesterday afternoon below. As per usual, Natsuki’s cocky attitude swiftly became his downfall and he nearly incinerated his mouth. (HEHE).

We’ve got a busy week coming up with three videos being released throughout next week alone, including:
So tons to looks forward to in the coming days.
As for my thoughts on the Sapporo Snow Festival itself; was it worth going after all?
Honestly, it’s not the festival itself that I’ll look back at fondly. All of my favourite memories from our 3 day trip revolve around hanging around with good friends; Natsuki, Pete, Sharla and Chiaki - and all the good food and drinks we stuffed ourselves with.
The thing is, the festival itself isn’t the main drawer. It’s the city of Sapporo and the party-like atmosphere that lingers in the air, it’s the ridiculous amounts of snow that glow under the lights of the neon lit streets.
The overcrowded central park filled with repetitive food stalls and ice sculptures promoting various Japanese brands could feel a tad underwhelming at times.
But when combined with everything else going on in the city and the influx of fellow tourists revelling in the excitement, I have to say it was some of the most fun I’ve had in my time in Japan and I would highly recommend a visit. Especially if you’re into photography or snow; it's an absolute dream.
Along the way, we must have spoken to well over 150 viewers (and taken 150 selfies), which made it all feel like an epic impromptu meet up! There’s no doubt meeting so many awesome viewers, completed what was an incredible trip - well worth the 7 year wait.
Hopefully the upcoming vlog of our time in Sapporo will do it justice, but in the meantime, here’s some snaps of our trip below and a taste of what to expect in the upcoming Sapporo episode.
Consider it an art exhibition;
I CALL THIS PHOTO,
"Disappointing gangsters".

THIS PHOTO I CALL,
"I wish I was in the photo rather than taking it"

This photo I call,
"Holy sh*t I love Sapporo at night."

And finally this one I call,
"LET'S JENGA."
FYI Chiaki toppled the tower on just the third go.
