6 Must Try Japanese Foods | Iwate | New Video

Hey folks,

For those that haven't seen it, there's a new video just out featuring Natsuki, beef, Genghis Khan, and a ton of food.

You can watch it here! https://youtu.be/j5gy6QLq8wg

It was an editing nightmare as I had a lot of sound problems. Stupidly, for a lot of filming in restaurants, I used a small camera (to be inconspicuous), but the sound quality was truly awful. I had to cut quite a lot of good stuff out in the process - but overall I'm happy with how it turned out, and I've definitely learnt my lesson!

Having spent the last four days editing like crazy non-stop, I'm looking forward to re-discovering day light tomorrow! On Saturday, there's another new video coming out featuring an actual Mummy. It's pretty awesome.

If anybody has any questions they'd like to ask about how the video was made, or anything featured, leave a comment below (or feel free to message me).

Best,
Chris

Depends on the video. If I'm travelling somewhere, there's no script or concept until after, when I've looked through the footage for the best parts. If it's purely scripted and filmed (like the Don't Get Fat in Japan video), it's usually something I've just filmed in my apartment - it's also usually funnier as well! But less unique. I'll be bring out a video about this, in the coming week.

It varies - if I'm filming with Ryotaro, we usually take turns holding the camera. On other trips I bring a friend along (like the ramen challenge video). And if it's in the apartment, it's just a tripod!

It's a good idea! I'm thinking of making a quick bonus video for Patreons for each release. A few deleted scene and outtakes would probably go down well!

5 day trip to Iwate - relatively unplanned. Canon 70D and Canon G7X. Googled some good restaurants and a decent Airbnb place. Filmed an absolute ton of footage. Sifted through it all for best parts. Locked myself away for 4 days to edit it together. Utter nightmare. Release it - it goes down well and gets tons of views in it's first day. The editing nightmare feels worth it. I smile.
