Here's a recap of what we did last month!
Jono had a birthday! 🎉
I celebrated my 44th birthday with friends and family. My kids and their mom threw me a surprise birthday barbecue, and we all enjoyed time at the public pool together earlier in the day!
A big YouTube highlight was sharing our Elio episode filmed at Pixar! We hope you go see the movie (and then watch our video) because it deserves all the praise. We also posted videos about Eleanor and Chidi from The Good Place, Tarzan, How to Train Your Dragon, Bridget Jones's Diary, and Weathering with You. Which one was your favorite?
Over on Patreon, we pondered what our good places and bad places would be like. Jono gave us tips on thriving in hard times. And June's director's cuts were extra beefy. You don't want to miss them!
By now, the CT shoots are fairly consistent and streamlined. But we pushed the next shoot back because Jono is moving back to Utah (more on that below)! That gives us extra time to prep and do life stuff. We're all excited to have Jono back in Utah! Maybe we'll do more moviegoing meetups. 🍿
CT Studios update from Alan:
Writing The Vessel is proceeding apace! We're up to 45 pages (as of this morning's writing) but we're averaging 10-12 pages a day between David and I. Megan will come in after this pass (which I lovingly call the vomit draft) to fix issues, and then we'll all work together to get a presentable first draft that we can start our prep with!

Here's a sneak peek of what's coming next!
The Seawrights are going to be traveling to visit family a lot in July. First to San Diego with Megan's family to celebrate her father's retirement (two of Megan's three sisters and their families are also coming. It's going to be a ZOO!) Then, five days after that, they're heading to Hawaii to visit Alan's parents, who are spending a couple years of their "retirement" volunteering at BYU-Hawaii. So they retired from being college professors to volunteer to be... college professors. We're all a bit confused by it.
Big news from Jono!
My big news is that, after three years in Missouri, we're moving back to Utah! I'm excited to live where I work: this is going to make everything CT way easier, since this is where Alan lives and the show is produced. The MidWest was good to us, but hopefully it's time to put down roots.
With all the personal things going on, CT updates will be light in July. Mostly chugging along with prep for both the next CT shoot and The Vessel.
How was your month? What are you looking forward to next month?
