2024-09-11 10:32:14 +0000 UTCMcbusted formed because Tom had auditioned to join busted. They had released 1 album with James, Matt and 2 other members who left the group before their 2nd album. Tom and Charlie both auditioned and Charlie was picked. Tom became part of the writing team for that 2nd album, though, so got to know all the members of busted well. When mcfly was formed busted helped launch them by having them support on tour. The rest is history!

2024-09-10 21:01:41 +0000 UTCI agree with your comment about Tom and Danny's voices - I also prefer their vocals over any of the guys from Busted (I'm actually not a fan of James's voice at all). The best singer in Busted is Charlie Simpson (the one with the "eyebrow condition" ๐) - he has a lovely husky tone. He actually won the Masked Singer last year too! I really enjoyed the McBusted era - it was great fun at the time - but I prefer all the other McFly albums to the McBusted one.
