Chapter 39 Tangtang

Hearing that she would consider becoming his wife. Yang Chen's face changed a little. That's right, he forgot something very important.


Right now, he could be considered Lin Ruoxi's husband, even though it was a fake one. He was still her husband, none the less.


Rose, who saw that his face had changed, She thought that he might not want her to be his wife, so she began to panic.


"I—I am just joking; I will only be your mistress, but please don't leave me!"


Rose pleaded, her voice trembling with fear and desperation. Yang Chen's expression softened as he realized the misunderstanding. 


"No, Rose, it's not that. I just need some time to sort things out."


He reassured her, trying to calm her down. When he saw that, she calmed down a bit, so he explained to her about Lin Ruoxi.


"So it was just that, and I thought you didn't want me anymore."


"Who wouldn't want someone as beautiful as you, Rose? But are you really okay with being just a mistress? You could become my wife after I and Lin Ruoxi broke off our marriage."


Rose’s expression changed ten thousand times in a single moment, and she said it with an aggrieved tone. 


“To tell you the truth, I don't want to be a legal wife."


Yang Chen was surprised and asked her.


“You don’t want to be the legal wife? Why?” 


“Being the legal wife is not suitable for me; after all, I’m someone who lives in the dark and cannot openly appear in public. Do you forget who I really am, hubby?"


"Hubby? Well, I like you calling me that. And sorry, I really forgot that you are actually a yakuza boss."


Yang Chen sighed. Their love life from now on could be so complicated. Rose looked at Yang Chen, then thought of something.


She hugged him in the front, then seductively whispered.


"But don't worry, my love. We'll find a way to make it work somehow. Now please seal the deal, and I will be yours forever."


Sealing the deal that Rose wanted was to kiss her. The kiss was some kind of unspoken agreement between them.


Yang Chen was a man of his word. He already said that he would date her, so he will keep that promise. He was the one to make a move. Leaning in closer, Yang Chen gently brushed his lips against Rose's, sealing their unspoken agreement. 


As their lips met, Yang Chen felt his entire body tingle with something. His symptoms began to act up again, and he needed to suppress them. It was really uncomfortable to have to apply his technique in the midst of such an intimate moment.


But with his proficiency in medical technique, he could quickly regain control and continue the kiss without Rose noticing his discomfort. 


Yang Chen knew that he couldn't let his condition ruin this special moment between them. He took a deep breath, focusing all his energy on the kiss, determined to make it unforgettable for both of them. 


And he succeeds in doing so. Rose showed a very content expression after the kiss.


"So now you are my girlfriend. You can't go back anymore."


Yang Chen said it with a playful smile. Rose blushed and returned his smile, feeling very happy. Her dream had come true today. 


"Even if you want me to go back. I will not leave your side." 


She replied softly, her eyes filled with love and sincerity.


They spend time together in the room like that. They haven't crossed the line yet, as they will take it step by step. 


They enjoyed each other's company, talking and laughing as they got to know each other better. It was a special moment for both of them, filled with anticipation and excitement for what the future held. 


Hours passed, and it was already midnight. Yang Chen had to go back home, so he said goodbye to Rose. He promised her that he would come and visit her more often.


"I will be waiting for you, hubby."


Rose smiled and went back to work. That night, everyone in her bar got a bonus. They didn't know why, though.

After walking out of Rose Bar, Yang Chen drove home with his car but almost took the wrong route because he was still not accustomed to having moved to Dragon Garden. 


The car drove past the suburbs, then reached the highway entrance. Yang Chen suddenly noticed the car behind him shooting its high beams at him.


"???"


Yang Chen was curious as to why the car behind him was flashing its high beams. He wondered if he had accidentally done something to provoke the driver. 


As he continued driving, the car behind him continued to tailgate and flash its lights, making Yang Chen feel annoyed.


"So you want to compete with me? Good, I will show you how to drive!"


Yang Chen then began to accelerate and change lanes in an attempt to leave the tailgating car behind. However, the cars behind them still kept following closely, refusing to be left behind.


Yang Chen started to feel excited, and then he showed his skill by maneuvering through the highway with precision and ease. He weaved in and out of lanes, expertly timing his moves to avoid any collisions. 


The tailgating car struggled to keep up, but Yang Chen's driving prowess proved too much for them.


And as he saw that the cars were now falling further and further behind, Yang Chen couldn't help but feel a sense of triumph. But was it enough for him? No, it was not.


Yang Chen slows his car down until he stops at the side of the highway. He waited for the cars to catch up, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. He wanted to give them a chance to prove their worth and see if they could match his skills on the road or not.


The cars for which he waited came closer and stopped near his car. 


The owners got off their car, but what surprised Yang Chen was that there was actually a girl came out of the car that led every race cars on the highway. 


However,  the way this girl dressed was abnormal, wearing a pink mushroom-shaped wig, a white cartoon t-shirt, and jean shorts full of holes. What made things worse was that the girl’s earrings were two skulls, and both her bracelet and necklace were silver crosses.


In contrast was a smooth, delicate face with clear brows and beautiful eyes, especially that pair of eyes that already showed a faint youthful and devilish charm. Only the body wasn’t fully developed, still looking like green apples; she should be of high school age.


The girl’s pair of rich-looking eyes stared straight at Yang Chen as he approached her. When face-to-face, she promptly extended a small hand that had a purple little butterfly tattoo on it and revealed two cute tiger teeth. She crisply laughed and said, 


“My name is TangTang. Nice to meet you.”


Yang Chen looked at this girl, TangTang, a little surprised. He was initially expecting a big scene full of crying instead of a friendly handshake.


Without much hesitation, Yang Chen extends his hand and gently grips TangTang’s hand.


“My name is Yang Chen; it's not nice to meet you at all kid.”
