This past week, our illustrator Tsunamikan-sensei has been working tirelessly. Not only has the planned CG set for Ver0.4 been completed, but additional new content has also been added. On top of that, we’ve carefully adjusted some of the CGs based on your valuable feedback, ensuring that the overall style remains consistent.
I’m very happy to announce that Ver0.43 is scheduled for release at the end of this month!
This update will include 6–7 new CG sets, along with the introduction of brand-new features that have never appeared in the game before. We hope you’ll look forward to experiencing them.
At the same time, I’m also tackling another important task that I’ve been putting off for too long: performing a complete tri-language (Japanese, Chinese, and English) revision and integration of my previous work, Her Fall in the Last Days, as well as fixing many bugs. That title was created back when I had no experience, and in many ways the writing and structure are rough to look back on. However, since it’s deeply connected to the story and world of this series, leaving it as-is would be irresponsible.
Once the integrated version is complete, I plan to relaunch it on additional platforms, so I’d be very grateful for your continued support when the time comes.
Lastly, this post also includes samples of CG revisions made according to your feedback.

Hello everyone, this is LactoQuest. Today I’d like to share some exciting updates.
CG Production Back on Track
First of all, I’m happy to introduce a new partner to the team — 缶詰ツナ味.
He has officially taken over the CG work for Stigma of Corruption: Nightbound Courier.
Right now, 缶詰ツナ味 is working on the Ver.0.4 CGs while also tackling unfinished variation tasks left from before. The workload is quite challenging, so the overall style is still in the process of fine-tuning. That said, I’m already very satisfied with the results so far.
I’d really appreciate it if you could support Kanazume Tuna-aji as well! If you’re interested in his portfolio and illustrations, I highly recommend subscribing to his FANBOX to enjoy more of his amazing work and help support his creations directly.
Progress on the Side Story
As for the Her Fall in the Last Days side story:
This side story builds on the original narrative with some revisions and upgrades. I’ve been trying to add more emotional ups and downs, so it won’t just feel like a bonus episode, but rather a more heartfelt experience.
Next Steps
In early September, I just moved from Canada to Tokyo, so I’ve had a lot of personal matters to take care of. Still, I’ll do my best to push development forward in parallel with daily life, with the following priorities:
Ver.0.4 — the current top priority.
Side Story — targeted for release in November.
Stigma of Corruption: Nightbound Courier — once the above are completed, I’ll devote full focus to it.

Hello everyone, this is LactoQuest.
I am currently focusing on the development of Her Fall in the Last Days: Gaiden.
As for Stigma of Corruption: Nightbound Courier, we are still in the process of searching for a suitable illustrator. Development is continuing, but until we find the right partner, I will be putting more effort into the production of the Gaiden.
Thank you very much for your constant support. I strongly believe that only by working harder and dedicating myself fully to the production can I live up to your expectations.
In this article, I would like to introduce some new characters that will make their debut in the Gaiden. They will not only appear in this side story, but will also become the main characters in Her Fall in the Last Days 2, where even more intense and dramatic NTR stories will unfold.
Character Introductions

Rinko
She met Akito through an arranged marriage and eventually married him. Rinko is a gentle, devoted, Yamato Nadeshiko-type woman. Before marriage, she worked as a private tutor, but she quit after marrying. While blessed with an extremely voluptuous figure—which often troubles her—she is nonetheless admired by many. Because her husband has been constantly busy with work, they have not had children, and their married life has lacked intimacy for more than six years, leaving her in a state of deep sexual frustration. In reality, she often relies on a vibrator to soothe her loneliness.

Remy
Unemployed and a gang member. His older brother works for a pharmaceutical company in the United States. Remy himself has a powerful build and once competed in state-level bodybuilding contests. Though he had a promising future, an unfortunate injury forced him to retire. He later spent many years as a bodybuilding trainer. What he is most known for, however, is his extraordinary physical endowment. Women who have been with him never forget the experience.
These characters will be officially introduced in the Gaiden and will also serve as the protagonists in Her Fall in the Last Days 2, where more layered and tension-filled NTR stories will unfold. Hello everyone, this is LactoQuest.
I regret to inform you that, due to certain circumstances, my collaboration with illustrator Mao has come to an end. Unfortunately, I am unable to fully carry on the existing art style by myself. This means that CG production will be temporarily suspended, which will also cause delays in the overall development progress.
However, please rest assured that the story and gameplay development will continue as planned. At the same time, I have already reached out to several illustrators and will do my best to find someone who can carry on the current style so that the project can get back on track as soon as possible.
During this period, I will be focusing more time on Her Fall in the Last Days side story. Once completed, it will be given for free to all supporters as compensation and a token of my gratitude.

After completing the Her Fall in the Last Days side story in November, I will deliver compensation to everyone who has supported the project, based on the subscription list at that time.

The carriage CG has finally been completed!
This scene will appear in the latter half of the “Hawkpeak Fortress” chapter.
We’ll also be sharing a previously scrapped carriage CG.
Although we were quite fond of that version as well, it had to be cut due to changes in direction and scene composition. It’s a shame, really—the quality was great.

Stigma of Corruption: Nightbound Courier Ver 0.35 is finally live!
This version offers about 2 hours of gameplay.
After multiple rounds of testing and polish, we've completed the foundational system and core event framework.
That said, I personally feel it’s still not enough.
Future versions will continue expanding content and improving the gameplay experience, including:

✦ Highlights of Ver 0.35
This update establishes the core systems and world structure.
At the end of the prologue, the story branches into three main paths:
Dragon Route (Pure Love): A grand and gentle story arc, soon to dive into a “Prison” setting
Craig the Merchant Route: A corruption route set along a journey, featuring scenes on carriages, inns, and shadow shows
Muan the Blacksmith Route: A wild, desire-driven path set in campgrounds and the wilderness
Each route features unique maps, CGs, and custom events, providing a true divergence in gameplay.
In fact, thanks to player choices in the prologue, there are up to six path variations—some overlapping, others completely unique.
✦ On Pacing & Narrative Direction
As a developer, creating this demo has been an intense challenge.
The prologue needed to present a believable world filled with tension, and plant key narrative seeds.
That’s why I poured so much effort into the story and event sequences.
However, it also made me reflect:
"Did all this setup compromise the gameplay?"
My answer: No.
Still, I recognize that some parts might feel slow.
This was done deliberately to build the world—and partly because I was simply exhausted after so much writing.
To deliver strong emotional twists later, the prologue must firmly establish its setting and character dynamics.
So I sincerely ask for your feedback after playing.
Every comment you leave will directly shape the pacing and content of future updates.
✦ What’s Next: Future Plans & Bonus Version
The current demo ends with your departure from Dawn Village.
Next, the main story will focus on bonding with the heroine of your chosen path.
Each route will explore deepening relationships, emotional shifts, and much more intense H scenes and CGs.
Unlike the prologue, the story will no longer dwell on background or world-building.

Here are some recent drafts. I'm sorry for not updating on Patreon lately. Last mon, my account was reported because I included NSFW images in a public post, which resulted in some temporary restrictions. Things have improved since then, but I can no longer share explicit content in public posts.
I expect to finish the content for the 0.3 update within the next couple of days. However, considering the time needed for translation and testing, the new version will be released on the 15th.
Additionally, version 0.35 will be released on the 25th, which will mark the completion of the demo and the start of full-scale development.

Fixed a bug where certain events would incorrectly teleport the player to the gallery
Fixed a bug where the village chief constantly showed an exclamation mark
Fixed tile display errors in the box-pushing area
Added a temporary option to remove the heroine from the party at rest points to prevent potential bugs
Plz replace the files with the same name in your game folder when updating.

Demo 0.2 is now officially complete and released!
This update adds 6 new CG sets and 5 events, all focused on Kare.
If you’ve already played Demo 0.1, simply download the new version to continue—no need to restart your save.
We’ve also fixed the bugs that were reported in Demo 0.1. However, some system optimizations and status display features are still pending. These will be addressed gradually during the development of the full version.

Hello everyone, this is LactoQuest.
It’s time once again for a development update.
Since the last post, I have to admit that overall progress has been a bit stagnant. This past week, I’ve been focused mainly on foundational tasks—preparing new character busts, pixel sprites, some pixel animations, and various base assets. Although the game itself hasn’t moved forward much, I’m still confident that I’ll be able to push out an update by the end of this month.
Seeing how many of you are excited about the new project truly makes me happy. I also understand that many of you are curious about the game’s details, so in this post, I’d like to talk more about the overall structure of the game, and answer some of the questions I’ve received since the last update.

About the Game Structure
As for the story, I’d prefer not to reveal too much just yet. But I’d like to share some insight into the game’s system and design.
If you remember the map I posted earlier, the full game follows a journey from Dawnreach to the royal capital. The content shown in the demo—daily life in the starting village—makes up less than 10% of the full gam

While the ultimate goal is reaching the capital, the player will be free to choose the route. I call this structure a modular narrative system: you might take the forest path to the east or the desert path to the south—each direction leading to entirely different stories and events.
At one point, I considered creating multiple endings and unpredictable story branches depending on player choices. But after reconsidering, I realized the workload and production complexity would grow exponentially. So I’ve simplified and trimmed those plans for now.
Regarding the “trilogy” I previously mentioned—it doesn’t mean the escape to the capital will be told across three games. Instead, each game will feature a new set of protagonists and tell a complete story. It’s an ambitious goal, but I want each title to stand on its own.
That’s why, even with this first title, preparation has been quite extensive. There are 12 characters planned, each with multiple outfits (such as armor and casual versions). Designing and preparing these busts and related assets alone has taken considerable time.
You’ll find new character art previews at the end of this post.
Although the workload sounds heavy, everything is still within control—so please don’t worry. I’m fully committed to development. However, the original goal of releasing in September is no longer realistic. The new target for the full version is December 2025.
This game was originally meant to be a small-scale project, but your overwhelming support and interest inspired me to expand the scope—adding more CGs, events, and story branches. Naturally, this also requires more development time.
The plan is to release the fully updated prologue demo in July, along with the DLsite preview page. I hope you’ll check it out when the time comes!

About Her Fall in the Last Days
I know many of you are also interested in updates on Her Fall in the Last Days, both the main game and the side content.
While I was waiting for some art assets for the new project, I took the opportunity to work a bit on the script for the side episode of Her Fall in the Last Days. I’ve been planning to create a short bonus story—about one hour of gameplay—exclusively for supporters. It focuses on Miharu, the protagonist, and Inoshita, and follows their journey after escaping the safety zone.

However, since most of my energy is currently devoted to the new game, progress on the side story has been very slow, and I can’t promise a release date yet. That said, please rest assured—I haven’t given up on it. I’ve been pushing it forward little by little whenever I find time.
That being said, it hasn’t been an easy process. I’ve realized I’m not someone who can emotionally commit to two different game worlds at once. While developing the new project, I’ve become quite immersed in its characters and tone. So when I switch back to writing Her Fall in the Last Days, I catch myself unintentionally writing in the light, cutesy tone of the new game—which doesn’t fit the atmosphere of Her Fall at all. Because of that, I’ll most likely return to that world only after the current project reaches a major milestone.
As for the DLC and Neighbor Route for Her Fall in the Last Days, I plan to begin working on those once the current title is completed. Thank you so much for your continued patience and support.

Answering Questions
Q1. How many NTR characters are there? Will there be group scenes?
A: Excluding characters from future entries in the series, this game features 4–5 NTR characters. At this time, group H-scenes are not planned. I understand many players were hoping for modular combinations—unlocking hidden CGs or branching outcomes by selecting different paths—but due to the scale of this project, those systems had to be trimmed down. I’m hoping to explore that type of structure in future titles.
Q2. Are there animated CGs? Why not use Live2D?
A: Like in the previous game, some CGs will feature motion or silhouette-style animation. Full Live2D implementation isn’t currently feasible due to both time and cost limitations. I’m still refining my skills and tools, and I do hope to get closer to that goal in future projects.
Q3. Are there marriage or pregnancy elements in the game?
A: No, not in this title. Those elements are currently only planned for the Neighbor Route in Her Fall in the Last Days.
Q4. Will the heroine have multiple outfits? Is there any content from her perspective?
A: Yes, the heroine will have multiple outfits. The main story is told from the male protagonist’s perspective, but scenes from the heroine’s point of view will appear in the recollection room. For future games, I may explore fully playable female POV depending on audience feedback.
Q5. Are the Pure Love and Corruption routes mutually exclusive? Can they be explored in parallel?
A: Much like in the previous game, key items (such as antibiotics or the mask) will influence which path you end up on. The player must observe, interpret, and make decisions accordingly. Once a critical choice is made, the route is locked in and cannot be reversed.
Q6. In the Pure Love route, is it possible to have H-scenes before any corruption? Can the male protagonist be the first to sleep with the heroine?
A: Yes. If the player makes the right choices, exclusive Pure Love scenes between the protagonist and the heroine will be unlocked. In one of the good endings, the male protagonist can take the heroine’s virginity.
Q7. Does the game have any combat or battle systems?
A: No. There are currently no combat elements in this title.
Q8. When will Her Fall in the Last Days be released on Steam? What about the DLC, Neighbor Route, or mobile version?
A: I’m currently working on integrating three language versions and fixing critical bugs for Her Fall in the Last Days. Once that’s done, the game will be released on both Steam and mobile platforms.
The DLC and Neighbor Route will begin development after the current project is finished.
The new title is also planned for release on Steam and mobile.

To close, I'd like to share a small update with you.
I'll be traveling to Japan in early June, mainly to handle some tax-related paperwork, meet with old friends, and push forward a few upcoming collaboration plans. It's also a chance for me to take a short break and recharge a little.
Because of that, I might not be able to devote my full attention to game development for a short while. I hope you’ll understand.

Hello everyone, this is Lactose Quest.
How have you all been lately?
Development of Stigma of Corruption: Nightbound Courier is progressing smoothly.
Im currently deep into testing and translation work, and over the past week, I've managed to fix several long-standing issues.
Ive also made adjustments to various in-game events to improve their overall presentation and flow.
Compared to my previous work, this game moves at a slower pace, with greater focus on build-up and detailed storytelling.
Especially during event scenes, everything progresses step by step.
At first, I found this style a bit challenging to adjust to, but it's nothing insurmountable!
As for the game itself:
Playing as a novice courier in Dawnreach, the protagonist is not only tasked with delivering letters, but can also engage in various preparations.
The more thorough your preparations before the impending disaster, the easier your journey will become later on.
This game features a pure love route and continues the concept from my previous work:
Avoiding NTR events by making the right choices before they happen
Additionally, discovering and interrupting NTR events before they fully unfold
To protect your childhood friend, you must not only raise her affection, but also anticipate the development of events, make critical decisions at key moments, and sometimes even intervene directly to foil the villains’ plans.
Players will also need to complete certain puzzles to uncover a secret route, allowing faster and more efficient progression.
While it may sound complicated, as long as you pay attention to the heroine’s situation, achieving this is absolutely within reach.
also note:
This game does NOT feature multi-partner (multi-P) events or gameplay.
While multiple antagonists' events may coexist, they develop independently and do not interact with each other.
Those preferring a pure and straightforward experience can enjoy with peace of mind.
The demo is expected to offer around 40 minutes of gameplay, featuring two antagonists, each with two event scenes.
Currently, the total script has already surpassed 20,000 characters, so translation will take a bit more time.
The game will also include heroine state illustrations and various status effects (including a special corruption mark design).

Hello everyone! This is LactoQuest.
How have you all been lately?
A few days ago, I came down with a pretty serious illness that left me feeling extremely weak—but I’m happy to report that I’ve fully recovered as of yesterday.
Despite how rough it was, I didn’t let it interfere with development. Things have continued steadily, and I’m really excited to share this update with you all.
Since the last post, the development of 「Stigma of Corruption: Nightbound Courier 」 has moved along at a very fast pace.
As of now, the demo is about 85% complete, and all that remains is testing and translation. The estimated playtime will be around 30 minutes to 1 hour.

In addition to scripting and programming, I’ve also been helping out here and there with some art support.
Even though I’m not the main CG artist, I’ve been actively involved in bringing this project together from multiple angles.
As for the release:
In the last update, I mentioned that the demo might be distributed through a subscription model. However, after some careful thought, I’ve decided to make it completely free.
It’s not a large amount of content, but I hope it gives you a clear sense of the tone and direction of the full game.
Above all, it’s my small way of saying thank you for all your continued support and patience.
Now, about my previous work, 「Her Fall in the Last Days」:
I haven’t forgotten about the bug fixes! As of yesterday, I believe I’ve addressed all the major reported issues—unless something new pops up.
That includes:
I want to sincerely apologize for how long it took to fix these.
There are still some minor bugs, such as incorrect bust image displays, but I plan to hold off on further fixes for now.
Why? Because I’m preparing for the Steam and mobile releases, along with a three-language merged version (JP/EN/CN) and a future DLC update.
Fixing each build one by one has proven to be time-consuming and error-prone—one fix often causes another issue. So instead, I’ll be doing a full optimization pass once all versions are combined.
Until then, please feel free to continue sending me bug reports! I’ll be logging and keeping track of everything for the next big update.

There’s something I’d like to share here on Patreon—something I honestly didn’t plan to announce this early.
To be honest, I’ve always felt a mix of gratitude and guilt toward those of you who’ve continued to support me month after month. I constantly find myself thinking, “I should be doing more to give back.”

It’s a new chapter that takes place after the characters escape the Safe Zone, during their journey toward the new city.

Due to my recent health issues, this update doesn’t add a huge amount of new content,
but I’ve made a major overhaul of the game systems and fixed many bugs.
Here are the full details:

Fixed numerous text errors
Fixed a bug where the elevator recollection wouldn’t trigger properly
Fixed an issue where the heroine would disappear unexpectedly
Fixed the convenience store event not ending properly
Fixed an issue that made the sewer area unplayable if the hotel wasn’t repaired
Fixed the injury event triggering even when the player had antibiotics
Fixed the warehouse recollection being inaccessible even after unlocking
Removed all death mechanics
Losing battles will now trigger unique dialogue and variables instead of a game over
Hunger no longer causes death, but now applies severe debuffs instead

Casino map and a new ending map have been added
3 new mini-games in the casino

Remake of the second pure love event

A small poster event
Two new endings
Technology District staircase event
A new "invisible wall" event

Story Background: The Turmoil of Salamir
The protagonist is a novice courier with dreams of traveling the world. He lives in the peaceful Dawnreach Village, where his journey begins.
One day, a group of heroes arrives, shattering the village’s tranquility. They have come to eliminate the remnants of a past war, but their mission ends in disastrous failure. The entire hero party is wiped out, the village is destroyed, and an unknown threat looms over humanity.

I sincerely apologize for the long delay, which was mainly due to waiting for the completion of the Japanese translation. Unfortunately, I still haven’t been able to reach the Japanese translator, so for now, I’m releasing the Chinese and English patch first.

First and foremost, Version 1.2 does not include new content.
Here are the reasons:
While some CG redrawing and new event production have been completed, I’ve decided to include them in the March update instead.

Resolved an issue where no reward was given after completing Convenience Store Event 1.

Fixed a missing switch that prevented viewing the warehouse event in the recollection room.
Fully reworked the English and Japanese translations.
(Please note that some minor plugin-related translation issues may remain. I’ll conduct a comprehensive review to ensure a smooth gameplay experience.)

Hello, everyone! Time has been incredibly tight, and I was making updates right up until the last moment. I’m aware that the game currently has many issues and bugs that I couldn’t fix in time due to the limited amount of time I had. However, from now on, I will be continually working on updates and improvements.
Please give me a bit of time and actively provide feedback through Discord, Patreon, or Cien. I will carefully record all issues and optimize the game accordingly.
From the release of the first demo in October to now, I’ve had only three months to complete the game. If I had more time, it could have been even better. Nonetheless, I sincerely thank you for your support! Your support is my greatest motivation.
