Hello everyone!! Buckle in for a special REID Edition Flimpo Friday update!

Last weekend we attended FIAF’s Animation First film festival and got to see a bunch of really awesome films! One stand out was the US premiere of Oscar nominee Robot Dreams, which was such a lovely little film. Highly recommend you all seeing it when it gets a wide release!

This week we split our time between Mandelbrot Hall preproduction and the next Joy podcast clip! I finished up the last of the main cast’s turnarounds just in time for my ToonBoom license to expire! Iris’s turnaround is now available to view for our $3 and $5 patrons and will be publicly available in a week. Milo is around halfway done with location designs and Ren and I will be working on expression sheets. We wrapped work on the 5th Joy animation just before turning in for the weekend, so expect to see that some time next week!

Otherwise, most of our work this week was just basic housekeeping and production planning. We’re super excited to start working on thumbnails for Mandelbrot Hall in the next week or two!

Oh well, looks like Milo is wrangling the reigns back from me… Hope you all have a relaxing weekend! Sending good vibes to all of you. For this week’s Maisy pick I have taken her hostage! I will only release her if you comment “Oh boy, what a cute doggy!”
