Hello everyone, Godot released their version 4.3 mid August and the original plan is to shift to it when it goes much more stable at around 4.3.1 - 4.3.3, however, I kinda got burnt with animating so I went ahead and dove deep with it.
After a week of tinkering, I have successfully transitioned Divine Arms to Godot 4.3!
I had to do some stop and go's as I was struck with fever and had to fight for my life when our local volcano sent vog in our lungs. We gon have to live with it for 5 or so years now, so yeah, no covid but masks almost 24/7 for us. We even consider moving out of the city because it can get horrible at times and for many weeks my cough never got cured.
Anyway, air filters got us covered for now!
And so far in development, I got everything sorted out. Lots of refactoring and debugging as some things that worked in 4.2 just don't in 4.3
But all systems work now! The new TileMapLayer works now after a few hair sacrifices.
Audio works. The Dialogue system works. Everything works!
I'll start working on the rooms and stages for now along with the minigame and the lewd system, so in a month or two, we can finally get the scenes and stages in!
That's all for now! I just could not wait any longer to get the game to Godot's 4.3 so I can ease in my mind that we have no problem moving forward. The game runs much better as well now!
Give me a month or two to cook everything together so you guys can play all current progress.
As always, thanks for the support!
-Kreig out!
