Installing a dashcam wasn't really all that hard (Patreon bonus)

I hate messy wiring, and I hate messy wiring in cars even more. Let's install a dashcam using a kit that hopefully doesn't suck.

The version on YouTube is here: https://youtu.be/gI3INZCHfFs

Wish I had known about those piggy back adaptors 3 years ago. Our car has a truly huge windshield with a crazy long spine running down it for the rear view mirror. (Citroen c4 Picasso). I refused to just cable tie the camera cable to it so ended up removing untold tiny, fiddly bits of trim to route it. To top it off, the sun visors are attached to extending fabric blinds so the cable had to run further back to avoid them. Lot of work but felt like an achievement 🤣 thanks for another great video

You're speaking my language here. I hate, hate, HATE messy wiring - especially in the car. I've had dash cams since 2019ish and hard wiring was a requirement. Going back even further I always hard wired my radar detector (as a young, foolish lad haha) and satellite radio receivers. In my current car I have a vent-mount MagSafe charger that the wire is not hidden for - gotta figure that one out someday. It's the cross we bear, Colin. 😂
