About next update.

Hello there.

I think everyone has been waiting for the Saboteur update, which should finally feature a game save system and which was planned for the beginning of the month. However, the update was delayed a bit for technical reasons.

In fact, I had some difficulties with the implementation of the save system and linking it with the rest of the game logic, I had to look for sources of problems and reasons for incorrect operation for a week and then redo part of the game code for another week.

Yes, it would seem that there are a lot of ready-made solutions, take and use. But the problem with such solutions is usually that they often contain many functions that are unnecessary in this project, but some of the functions you specifically need are not there. As a result, you have to write the missing modules yourself again, while also trying to understand the structure of someone else's code and adapt your solutions to it, which often takes more time than if you write the entire system from scratch. That is why I initially adhere to this course - the development of the save system (and all the others in general) is carried out by me independently, so that all this fits perfectly into the framework of my project. Yes, it is not easy either, but in the end I have a system that is completely familiar to me, I know all its capabilities and shortcomings and I can do everything I need with it without any problems.

But, as you understand, all this takes time, especially since I want to do everything once and properly than constantly return to some unfinished business or unresolved problems in the future, instead of just filling the game with new content. Such problems in particular were one of the reasons for the delayed development of the Path of Lust and I do not want to repeat this on Saboteur.

So, when will the update be released? Since the main difficulties have now been overcome and almost everything that is needed has already been correctly integrated into the existing game, I think that the update may well appear in early October.

I present to your attention a small update to the Saboteur. It corrects most of the errors found at the first stage of testing (thanks to everyone who participated), as well as expanded the first location and added more game content.

What's fixed:

- Lack of collisions in the ventilation modules of the detention block, which caused the character to fall into the void.

- The technical level elevator shaft has been rebuilt. Now you can't get stuck there.

- Added elevator call console. Now the elevator cannot leave without you.

- Rebuilt droid routes in the technical tunnel. Now the droid will not leak through the elevator and attack suddenly.

- Less obvious, but still existing, errors and bugs have also been fixed.

What's added:

- The ability to peek around the corner and look around without being seen by security. You can look out from almost any convenient corner.

- Scanning. The scanner hidden in the secret master key of Tantra is low-powered, but nevertheless capable of showing what useful or dangerous is nearby.

- Lootboxes. In each of them you can find some useful (or not so useful) item. Using these items is not yet possible, but this feature will appear in the coming updates.

- Knocking out opponents. Crouching and quietly creeping up to the Imperial who is interfering with you, you can knock him out.

- User interface. Added a summary window for character parameters, inventory and current tasks. The next updates will also include a location map and a game settings window.

- Sex scenes, of course :) So far they are represented only by a mission failure scene, demonstrating what the Imperials will do to you if they catch you. In the coming updates there will be more such scenes, and various sex activities will also appear in the location itself. In particular, you will be able to secretly watch the crew members having fun in the secluded corners of the Destroyer.

That's all for today. I hope you remember that this is still a very crude version of the game, the main purpose of which is to test the functioning of the game mechanics. Therefore, I ask you to treat all possible bugs with understanding, and even better, report them to my discord.

I added difficulty levels to the game, which determine how far enemies can see, how quickly they react to your appearance, how difficult it is to pick locks and devices, and how effective your scanner is (yes, the scanner is now in the game too :) ). Star Wars: Saboteur. Details about the new game.

As I promised, ahead of the release of the new game, I will reveal some details about what it is.

The game, as is already clear from the attached image, is called “Saboteur”. So. Galactic Empire. Approximately 5-6 BBY. Outer Rim. A lone Star Destroyer follows a certain route, carrying out the mysterious "Raid 34". No one knows exactly what the purpose of this raid is, but the Destroyer constantly travels between distant planets and other points in space, receiving and sending strange cargo and capturing any ships that get in its way.

Of course, the rebels decide to find out the plans of the Imperials and, of course, thwart them, so a battered smuggler ship with a supposedly failed hyperdrive “accidentally” comes across the Destroyer’s path. But it's a trap! :) The ship's crew finds itself aboard the Destroyer and begins to act, since in fact it consists of experienced saboteurs.

We have to play as one of them, a harmless-looking girl named Tantra, whom the self-confident imperials didn’t even bother to search properly. With the help of an electronic master key hidden in a safe place :) Tantra gets out of the cell and begins her mission - searching for the plans of the Imperials and sabotaging the Destroyer along the way.

As I said before, this is a stealth action game. You will have to covertly move through locations, exploring the vast depths of the Star Destroyer, hack locks, terminals and devices, eliminate the Imperials caught on the road and carry out sabotage missions that come through a secret communication channel from the rebel ship following the Destroyer at a safe distance.

And if you do fall into the clutches of the imperial sentries, they can do a lot of interesting things to you :)

And yes, don't think that the losing scenes are the only sex scenes in the game. This is wrong. The game plans to have separate mechanics related to sex (will appear in future updates), as well as many voyeuristic episodes, where you can observe the secret life of the imperial crew and even take advantage of this during some missions.

So, on May 10, “Saboteur” will be available for downloading and evaluation. Of course, this will still be a very crude version, for 15-20 minutes of gameplay, released to test the functionality of the main game mechanics. But it will already allow you to get a general idea of ​​the game and gameplay, and in future updates there will be new locations, new features and story missions.

Development news.

Hello there!

So, the time has come for that very promised evening news.

I think you all have already noticed that in the posts of recent months it is increasingly not Tatooine, where we all began, that appears, but the interior of the Imperial Star Destroyer. Why is this so?

Well, the Destroyer was actually planned as one of the game's locations for a fairly extensive stealth mission. But in the process of working on it, both the volume of the mission script and the amount of content created for it grew so much that it would be enough for a separate, albeit small, game.

Meanwhile, the state of the main project still leaves much to be desired. Plot inconsistencies and resulting problems with game logic, which is constantly being rewritten, prevent me from bringing the game to the state in which I want to see it. Also, the already known location of Mos Phalla on Tatooine, which still looks too empty, has already been remade many times and still has not achieved the required look.

Based on the above, I decided to temporarily suspend the development of the main project “Path of Lust” until all its components are brought into a harmonious combination. Don’t think, I’m not going to abandon this project completely, I just want to put its structure in order, and at the same time my own brains, which are already completely confused.

However! I won’t leave you without something sweet :) As I already said, the content created for the mission on the Star Destroyer is quite enough for a small game. Let it be so! Moreover, the demo version, and this is a PLAYABLE demo version of this game, is already ready and is undergoing final improvements and testing. In fact, I wanted to release it today, on Star Wars day, but alas, I didn’t have time to finish some little things. However, the game will be released in the coming days, approximately on Friday, May 10th.

What kind of game will this be? I will reveal the title and plot details a little later. In short, this is a stealth action game about a rebel saboteur who has infiltrated an Imperial Destroyer and is causing minor (and not so much) nasty things to the Imperials :) The plot part consists of a series of missions to break the Destroyer's systems, steal secret data, sabotage Imperial equipment, and more. The gameplay is a classic stealth game with secretive movements around locations, take down unsuspecting sentries and, as a bonus, the ability to spy on the personal lives of the imperial crew. Well, you know what I mean :)

And of course, if you let guards catch you, the game will show you in all its colors why you shouldn’t do this :)

As for "Path of Lust", its development will also continue and I will publish news about this project from time to time. Well, as soon as all the pieces of this puzzle come together into a single whole picture, a new demo will appear, which will no longer be as boring and empty as it is now...
