But at the same time, I think the reason Hems gets close to getting the axe is because she's gonna try to protect Cotton. Like I said below, she does seem like the reckless type, but not selfish.

This is honestly sound logic. Hemlock seems like she may seem a bit reckless but I doubt she'll let it get the best of her when someone's life is her responsibility.

And considering Cotton's reaction I think he knows it'll be him who'll have to wear the red shirt if he has to go with her.

Weirdly enough it's a good place for Cotton to be. Hemlock is many things but she's not uncaring of the other herbivores, if anything she's violently overprotective of them. Oren probably sent Cotton with her to keep her grounded, balance out her anger with the need to keep him safe.

I'm thinking that Hemlock herself is gonna be close to getting the axe but her tail gets saved by Rask.

Hit the nail right on the head. Now we just have to wait and see if that stupidity gets someone else killed or maimed.

Hemlock's gonna be doing something stupid, isn't she?

I've got a bad feeling about this. Why am I waiting to be kicked in the gut?
