Losing Shade (Standard)
Added 2025-08-09 22:30:22 +0000 UTCHere we have a scene inspired by a suggestion from last month - my OCs enjoying a day at the beach before summer wraps up. Here's the story behind the scene as I imagine it:
The four girls were all relaxing in the sun when Becca noticed the volleyball net was unoccupied and suggested they go play for a while. Mara and Bonnie were up for it, but Emily said she'd rather stay and read in the shade while the others played.
Mara and Bonnie tried their best to convince her. "With you there's an even number of players, but if you don't play it's gonna be two on one!" they pleaded.
"I'm sorry, I'd just rather stay put for now. You'll have plenty of fun without me."
As she was saying this, Emily noticed Becca reaching for her duffle bag. She knew what that meant.
"All right, if you want to stay put, I can make that happen." Becca said, wearing a familiar smirk.
"Come on, are we really doing that right now? Look, I'll join the game for a while if it's that important--" began Emily.
"No, no. We'll let you chill out while we play. Don't worry about it."
Mara and Bonnie exchanged silent glances. Emily knew there was no use protesting. Especially not when she saw the size of the gag in Becca's hand as she approached.

I'm also currently working on a big piece from this month's suggestions. I've broken my own rule and made it a three-character piece that is taking a bit longer than the usual one-character fan art pin-ups, so it's taking a while but I hope it'll be one a lot of you will enjoy as well.
