7th of 8 Posts for June - I didn't want to give out the downloadable PDF to the Bolting Bible without being able to send out an update when we make changes.
Creating a newsletter sign up form seemed easy, until bots started to sign up. I didn't want all those fake accounts messing up my email list so I deleted them. Wix didn't let me do double opt in (confirmation email) so I just put "email me at ryan@slackline.com and I'll manually add you until I fix this". My email started blowing up. I think the sign up form was all real humans... at least most of them. I had to manually put them all back in! I haven't even told people yet about this pre-released video or that we are giving away a Linescale to anyone opening the emails (patrons automatically entered to win). I'm excited to have direct contact with my audience and not be so dependant on the algorithm!

TODAY's VIDEO: I'm tinkering with making "films". This project was also just "training" for a 4 mile long zip line we are planning. It will be pretty neat to get sponsors to pay real producers for real HowNOT2 films down the road but its great to share our adventures of when we apply our science :). I'm using this film as an incentive to get more email sign ups and will make it public as soon as our next film is edited... our underground highline underground in a missle silo.
