2024-10-19 15:40:59 +0000 UTCYou know it's kind of funny, given the way we view x86 vs ARM, to hear x86 referred to as a clearly more power/thermal efficient platform. It is also a good reminder that the IBM POWER architecture was designed for mainframes and supercomputers and in those environments they actually ran submerged in mineral oil to keep cool.
