New head concept art

Im really interested in seeing how you develop sweetie bots eyes and look forward to seeing what they look like in the next prototype model. I also really like the idea of using a faux fur mane for Sweetie bot btw, good choice! Ive recently started reading a story from FIMfiction called 'Thunder Struck'. Its about an inventor who made her own Sweetie bot and it reminded me of you guys and this project! I hope that your project continues to progress and flourish in the coming years and that you'll find a continued sense of fulfillment and joy from this project! Thank you for doing what you guys do and for making this dream a real possibility!!

Yes! Eyes in heavy development right now. Also we plan make rotating ears. But it will be very difficult to make really emotional mouth. Most likely she will only be able to smile and open it. But I think eyes-displays make biggest impact on expression. There will be a few examples soon. Stay tuned!

The basic mouth looks nice! I've been curious; are you planning to add facial expression motors for the Sweetie Bot model, such as smiling/frowning, sad/angry eyes, moving ears, stuff like that? Or will you stick to the basics?

We did not think about it much. Very nice. Also, I know it is a very minor concern in comparison to the monumental task of building a robot from scratch, but what materials are you considering for the mane? Just some colored plastic fibers, or possibly something more in line with her robot aesthetics? (Fiber optic strands, anyone?)
