Episode 15 : The Crystal Ball

Hi patrons,  I just posted the new episode online! Episode 15 :  'The Crystal Ball'. It's a 'no-speech-bubble' episode as I did in previous episode 5 (Special holiday in snowball) and episode 10 (seaside holidays with big fish). 5, 10 and now 15; I think I'm starting a pattern!

★To  read it on website : http://www.peppercarrot.com/en/article364/episode-15-the-crystal-ball

( Note: Krita/hi-res sources files, 400MB! will be uploaded in the next hours to the website. the 'HD button' will work in a little hour because hi-res files are still transferring as I type this. )

More information, after reading the episode because [spoiler] :

About the story, it's the fourth story of the "witches of Chaosah". Ep12 was about Cayenne, ep13 was about Cumin and now ep15 is a bit about Thyme. This episode introduce a new 'technology' in the little world of Pepper&Carrot and the real theme are: video, erotism and parental control, video-games, bugs, blue-screen-of-death, coding/fixing, network and the World Wide Web. It was a little challenge to insert this elements in the fantasy world of Hereva.

About what I experimented: I'm back to storytelling with wide panel only, it's easier to read, but it add more pages to draw ( it's a 8 pages long story, I usually draw around 6 ). I also experimented with framing and cropping to be more cinematic and I try to treat light and color as an actor. It's also a rare time where I use the 'parody' humor form in a episode, doing many reference to internet, computers and our words.

I hope you'll like this one! Feel free to let me know your reaction, I'll be around.

Have a good week-end and thank you all for supporting Pepper&Carrot  :-)

Magic for the GNU!

哈哈哈,很喜欢这种画风,继续努力,继续支持

Fantastic: had me laughing out loud :D - The addition of technology to fantasy works here very well. Who's to say what tech is available in a world of magic? (that would be you of course, David!) It was very well done.

Possibly one of my fondest little comics yet, really kind of whimsical and light-hearted. You've got such a lush and distinctive illustration style :)

Demi

Absolutely beautiful- your way with light is spectacular, adding richness and atmosphere to every scene. Stellar work!
