Hello super patrons! Spring is inspiring and after spending the last ten days traveling to visit far-away family, I'm back with updates and a lot of sketches. Here is what's ahead for the Pepper&Carrot project ( sorry if it's a bit long, I'll try to make it short next time ) : # Speed-up production to one episode by month It's two time faster than the previous rhythm and soon I'll try to increment to 3 episodes each 2 month , to finally reach the target of 2 episodes by month. But it will take time. I still need to work on my style, efficiency to do it without affecting quality. I don't want any episode to be rushed. I'm keeping freelance concept-art/illustration now to pay the remaining part of my bills ; It's a new hybrid job period for me and I'm happy to do the transition step by step, little by little ( instead of trying a violent cut with my previous activities and full-time Pepper&Carrot ). # Tutorial soon Next tutorial will be posted very soon. It will be a video tutorial to present new digital brushes I made and their pro/cons into a production and how they can be useful. I'll release simultaneously to this tutorial the brush pack, of course (Krita 2.9 bundle brush). # Episode 07 , for end of April Writing, character-design and storyboard is done. I study the art-direction right now before starting production on monday. # Translation render-farm The translator contributors are amazing ; each week I receives new packs of langage from all around the world. This maintenance takes time, so I decided to write a complex bash script acting like a sort of 2D rendering farm. It detect new translations, glue the text and graphics together and export all the files with correct name and auto-upload to the website. Management is getting faster and smoother, but that was a big work. # Weekly news I have the project to post here a periodic 'weekly report' ( as this one ). It's also a mini production diary along visuals collected on sketchbook, screen-shots and other sources. Let see in one or two month if I was able to maintain it. See you soon and thank you so much for your continued support!
