honestly where to even start w these two episodes. first and foremost: THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THEM BOTH IN ONE PATREON UPLOAD!! this was such a blast to sit through! but there’s SO MUCH to unpack: the return of Missy and even more than that the return of DAVROS AND SKARO, the moral dilemmas at every corner, Missy dying again but not dying and Clara dying but not dying and the Doctor almost dying but not dying, the SOUNDTRACK, but most of all imo THE QUOTES !!!!!!! “When do I not see you?” “There was a crowd, too?” “Murdering a Dalek. I’m a Time Lady, it’s our golf” AND EVERYTHING CLARA SAYS THAT GETS TRANSLATED WHEN SHE’S IN THE DALEK IS SO HEARTBREAKING 😭😭 there aren’t words for how much I adore Missy and I am SO GLAD you were so excited to see her, and that you enjoyed her interactions w Clara so much!! you’re seeing the vision of her being a total nutter but simultaneously a diva 🫶🏻🙂‍↕️ also, Peter Capaldi IS the coolest man to play the Doctor and it’s not even a competition. THE GUITAR THAT HE ACTUALLY PLAYS? BYE. SO glad you got to these and you’re getting through this series!! cant wait to see the next few 🤭

Those scenes between the Doctor and Davros are amazing, aren't they. Phenomenal performances from Julian Bleach and Peter Capaldi. Missy and Clara are excellent as always. Their dynamic together is fantastic. I love the depth of the character study of the Doctor in these episodes. They really show who he is at his core, along with the many facets to his personality. And as a bonus, he's very, very funny (at least to me). Steven Moffat asked Peter for ideas they could incorporate into S9. Peter suggested the guitar, thinking of the Doctor playing to amuse himself quietly in the tardis. He was a bit shocked to find Steven had opted for a rock-star entrance. The Doctor has never been so cool.😂 Great start to S9. There are many more outstanding moments to come.
