When you think of a Body Hopper, how do you usually see it?

I can understand that. Thats why its nice having so many different options when it comes to writing possession caps :)

of course. I agree, having "rules" help to make things consistent. Especially if you are establishing a universe or concept. What I tend to do for ideas I've come up with. Would be nice to have a resource someplace for "rules" for the different concepts. So if someone uses a concept another has created, they can keep it the same. I've seen people using Exchange Island and Bikini Island as the same thing. So it gets confusing when I read a story or caption and expect one setting and get something else.

I think of A usually but I like B. Like that way there's less loose ends, no body lying comatose in a hospital somewhere etc. But I think it's a little but harder to comprehend someone's physical body turning to smoke and possessing someone. Like the body is a physical thing. But someone's soul is metaphysical so its easier to understand how the soul can do something metaphysical like phase out of its host than it I'd to turn a physical object into a metaphysical one

yeah I don't like the head on another body aspect either but it's fun to do sometimes just as an excuse to have a headswap type cap As you know from my work I do plenty of the lifeless body as well. I typically save that for possession that don't involve a hopper as, like I said above, to differentiate. I like both ways but as a writer like to give myself some kind of "rules" to follow so people who follow me have an idea what to expect :)

Body Hoopers are are a concept, I've seen various takes on. I do and don't like how in stories, mainly when someone becoming one or who is one, would see another Body Hopper they see the person's head on the body that was being hopped. I like this as a way to see another, yet the part of me that doesn't like it is cause I'm not big on face/head swaps. Exception being if it is Frankenstine inspired. As to how I see the idea, I think it can be variable? I prefer the possession aspect. As it makes it less complicated, with a lifeless body being someplace. Though I'm not against it being done the other way. As in the person could've started off with the Astral Projection way, then either never returned to their body or something happened to it. As a result was now just moving from one body to another.

So that's exactly why I created Switchers! I wanted something in the vein of a hopper but had to differentiate between them because people got confused :)

I always assumed the person they hopped into ended up in the hoppers old body
