Next Week's Video

So as anyone who follows me on Twitter or Instagram or...this Patreon is probably aware, I've been kind of burnt out lately. The nonstop work of the past 6 months or so caught up with me and I've just been exhausted and struggling to keep up with the work.

So I decided to make a video about it. This is the next one:

(the final title might change to be a bit catchier)

Kiki's Delivery Service is one of my favorite movies. I've always wanted to talk about it (and Miyazaki for that matter) but never had the right idea. Then it hit me last week that since this movie is very much about struggling as an artist and losing/rediscovering your passion for your work, it links up perfectly with how I've been feeling.

Guys, Kiki just really gets me right now.

So this one is looser and weirder and more personal than usual and I promise it won't just be 20 minutes of me complaining about how hard my job is.

(Also since people keep worrying about me, I promise I'm okay and not going to have a nervous breakdown)

Perfect and yes please

Then, as much as it pains me to say this, take a step back from the podcasts. I love them both but if you need mental space and the videos are the priority, than take them down to fortnightly or monthly dude. Either way, health comes first.

Hey everyone, just to clarify something since this comes up a lot: the schedule was set forever ago and sponsors have been locked into specific dates for months, so taking a break isn't as easy as it seems. I would if I could!

Dude, chill. Take a break, enjoy your life and come back when you're refreshed. I'd much rather have you disapear for a couple months than burnout entirely. Ease up on that throttle, you're doing two podcasts and a great. highly edited video series. calm down.

I’ve gone through some shitty personal problems this year and to counter that, I’ve dived into work. It’s been a great way to distract from the changes I’ve been going through, but I don’t know when to slow down. I don’t know when to really stop and smell the roses. That kind of lifestyle has got me to a point where I’m getting burned out. I’m sure the circumstances are different, but it’s refreshing to see someone stand up and talk about it frankly. Looking forward to the video!

Looking forward to watching it. But of you need to take some time off, just do it. We’ll all be here when you’ve relaxed and had some time to recharge.
