How Edgar Wright Saved My Filmmaking Career

This is a story about a lot of things: how I launched the YouTube channel, how I almost went to grad school, and (as you can see from the title) how Edgar Wright saved my filmmaking career.

I've been thinking of doing a video on this for a while, but waited until now because Edgar Wright's new movie opens next week and I'm making a conscious effort these days to schedule videos for when they'll be most relevant.

I've done some vlog-style videos before (I can probably just call them vlogs), but I wanted to try making this one a bit more cinematic and give it a bit more energy.

Also, I'm really, really, really excited to see Baby Driver next Tuesday.

REMINDER: for you $4+ patrons, there's a live stream Q&A tonight at 7pm EST. Details in the previous post.

For you other patrons, don't worry, there will be public live streams in the near future.

Thanks! And I can confirm that he saw it.

Nice vlog. I hope Edgar gets to see this someday. Excited to see Baby Driver soon.

Great message! Thank you for this. Edgar is awesome. Hot Fuzz is genius. The ultimate movie for city planners in its meditation on "The greater good". And I really liked in your video where you flash the word "generalization." Also the violent subduing of the anthropomorphic rejection letter. Keep up the great work!
