We're into the thick of summer now and while vacations are happening, we're still creating to make sure you always have something fresh and fun to add to your games. We've had a great month of items and a fun new creature that we were able to bring to you in June. Additionally, we successfully moved over to a new payment system here on Patreon that has allowed us to take advantage of some new tools to hopefully improve our long term outlooks for AB. I'm excited to say that so far it looks like some of those things are helping. Hopefully it will also mean more options to access your content in the near future. For now though, lets take a look back at June and see what all we made!
New Magic Items for June 2025
Staghorn Shako

One More Thing
As always, we love bringing you one more thing to spice up the month and give you some extra content that can't be found anywhere else. This month, we were inspired by the deer of Naga in Japan to create spellsword warriors that we think you'll love.

These warriors of blade and spell live in dedicated communities where they all work for a greater whole. Don't take their meek appearance for granted, they are masters of their craft.
News & Updates
Rebuild of the Kraken's Kompendium
Something that I've been struggling with is that the Kraken's Kompendium PDF takes an enormous amount of time to update each month and has fallen into a state of technical debt that is difficult to pull us out of while still working in the current document. This has lead to delays in updating the Kompendium and cause timely deliver of that benefit to be a problem.
Compounding this is the successful launch of our digital Kraken's Katalogue which often has been a better way to find your benefits without having to delve through dozens of pages of a PDF. It also allowed us to include the creatures, foundry modules, and other extras in one place that functioned better than the Kompendium PDF.
One thing we know though is that people still value the Kompendium and so rather than discontinuing this benefit, we're looking to change the way that the document works. That means I'm embarking on building out a new method that will allow us to be more sustainable in building the Kompendium each month where essentially we'll just be adding a new spread to the document monthly rather than having to rebuild the entire document month by month.
This will take a bit to get done, but I'm going to try to have the newly remodeled Kompendium ready for you all by the end of August. That does mean that until then, there won't be a Kompendium PDF update, but we'll continue putting out our Foundry modules, Digital Katalogue updates, Moulinette updates, and everything else you've come to expect.
We want to make sure we're putting forth our best quality possible, so that means sometimes we have to go back and rebuild to modern standards. This is one of those times. We truly appreciate your patience as we try to keep making AB a great place to get cinematic content for your games.
