A scene from start to finish on Deca-Dence

Here's an old scene of mine on Deca-Dence showing the whole process of animation from my roughs, to my director's fixes, to my tiedowns/Genga. See attached for all the files.

Good to know! I'm an animation college drop out but my passion to learn is there.. I'm quite clumsy so my peg bar papers would always get wrinkled during transport to college, messy or unsorted. No rigs makes sense.. I guess not only does it have an less traditional asthetic but also changes the style of the animation drastically. I was thinking it to may be the case on smaller studios because sometimes anime studios seem to use 3D software like 3Ds max to create their moving backgrounds.

I quit paper about 2 years ago and draw mainly on CSP now, but many people still draw on paper. I only seen 2D rigs for preschool productions and maybe advertising here, definitely not common in classical anime studios.

Do you still draw on paper a lot or is the majority of your work opentoonz or clip studio paint? Do japanese studio use 2D rigs as well like ones presented in toonboom harmony?
