They really don't need anything else to curse them, but having anything to do with Yamashita's gold or similar does curse them, it's comes from the gold conquistadors sold to "Cathay" (China) mostly, that conquistadors made their enslaved indigenous mine from throughout this continent in forced labor where they were worked to death as slaves for hundreds of years, even under encomienda the extraction continued and it continues to this day with encomienda 2.0 through US impunity racketeering repugnant exchange trafficking Nazi trafficking fascist rentier hegemony, so it's cursed. All of the avaricious monsters who have yearned for that gold have paid the price of the curse of that gold (and other precious metals like silver), and that curse only gets stronger and the last entity to be unable to resist the temptation of that gold, was clearly the United States. The M-Fund ‘57’ issuance bonds - allegedly from the golden lily WW2 war crime plunder & secret ceiling/ajax/tax on zaibatsus. It shows the criminality of the US empire and how it's been all downhill since: Listen to this: https://archive.org/details/GoldenWarriorsSeagraves It’s pronounced “YAH’kusa”, not “ya’KUSA” and just on Yamashita’s gold, and Yoshio Kodama and all of that camarilla of yakuza & zaibatsu racketeering skullduggery worldwide, deserves at least another book, because there is a wealth of information when it’s all connected to WACL, and the contemporaneous world politics and foreign policy of the time.

Hi Aaron, I just finished watching the latest episode of American Exception featuring Patrick Lawrence. I noticed your remark about the value of hearing perspectives from people outside the U.S., which inspired me to reach out. A quick introduction: my name is Gregory, and I'm from Russia. Born in the USSR, I've lived through the era of the "Harvard Boys," privatization, the Chechen War, Crimea, Ukraine, and much more. I've worked diverse jobs, run businesses, and spent significant time abroad. Over the years, I've become proficient in English and developed deep insights into Russian and Soviet history—perspectives rarely accessible to those living in America. For a long time, I've reflected deeply on how we might improve our world. Inspired by the idea of Competent Democracy, originally conceived by an American engineer, I've written a book exploring this subject in depth. Here are two brief articles related to its content: Did You Know America is 100% Dependent on Russian Nuclear Fuel? How Telegram Could Fix Democracy and Cut the Cost of Elections to Zero If this idea resonates with you, I'd be delighted to discuss it further on your podcast. Alternatively, I'm open to exploring any other relevant topic of your choice. In any case, thank you sincerely for all the important work you're doing. Warm regards, Gregory

That's wild. I've never heard of that.

Why does Patrick Lawrence sound just like Paul Scheer?

Sean Atkinson

Thanks for another interesting conversation. I've added Patrick to my reading list. This was a small portion of your conversation but since you brought it up I think it's fair to comment on. I'm afraid that you have misinterpreted the slogan "the personal is political." I could see why considering the cultural war has reduced feminism to a narcissistic garbage fire but at one point it was a call for collective action. Personal (think private) experiences of domestic abuse, rape, and molestation were considered private concern that were beyond socio-political scrutiny for example marital rape was not a crime (i think in a few states it still isn't). Women came together in conciseness raising groups to break the taboo and demand change. This was collective action against individual's experiences of abuse - seeing them not as 'personal' but as a symptom of the larger issue of misogyny and capitalism. I agree the slogan is pretty apolitical, I guess the 'private is political' didn't have the same ring.

They won't confront power! Annoying. You can be subversive everyday in lots of small ways. Millions are. March on Washington with petrol bombs and they will mow you down with automatic fire. The system is collapsing, get ready for the day after.

Wonderful man!

Always fascinating to hear & read Patrick's take on the world.

Yeah, I think it was Curtis. Maybe in Century of the Self.

Simon Kent

Btw., Alan Greenspan in his youth was part of Ayn Rand’s inner circle of fans, according to… I’ve forgotten who. Maybe Adam Curtis.
