I've always wished they kept this line, because it makes it extra clear that he basically murdered his descendents one after another. Too many people didn't pick up on it.

2024-03-20 06:42:22 +0000 UTCSo.. S3 trailer, movies then Re:Zero shorts.. Then S3 after a bit of waiting, as well as the Isekai Quartet crossover, given that you have watched the other shows in it.. I do also tend to recommend Echidnut's video on "How Re:Zero Season 2 REALLY Ends", since we do have massive cuts in the end of S2 and the main cliffhanger is endgame material rather than S3. Reading the last chapter would also work just as fine, or stay anime only and skip the cliffhanger. The details on the contract with Subaru and Beatrice is also cut. There is both pros and cons to it, but we likely will get a bit on that in S3. Edit: we will likely get more info on S3, and likely a new trailer maybe, on anime japan within the week (24th I think)

This is my 2nd favorite anime right after AOT Do not worry tho we are only 4 days away from a big announcement at anime Japan where we get a new trailer and finally some info about the staff and release date hopefully With Re:Zero news how would you like to be kept in the loop? Oh poor Anna. Hopefully with season 3 we’ll will get figures of more characters than Rem& Ram and Emilia. The running joke is in the fan base that there’s no figures of even Subaru bc Satella buys all of them ☠️ I’m here to ruin a wholesome moment Emilia thinks kissing makes you pregnant what does her kissing a dead Subaru in episode 11 f this season mean then? Another interesting detail when Betty was reflected in Roswaals eye it was a close up of his right eye and they actually showed it as blue like it was back then. Now his right eye he eye actually is yellow You also are correct in your conversation about Echidna Ben. In the light novel words are used very purposefully so the trial and younger echidna hector knew were describing her as “cute” while Betty and Roswaal described her as “beautiful” which implies the one they knew was older Would be great if one of the mods could inform them about the preview that’s already out and if they could check on the 24th bc that’s then the new trailer should be dropping on YouTube as well considering Americas and Japan’s time differences

Mandatory message to ask if they would like to react to the S3 trailer or trailers if we get another one this Sunday (march 24) during the expo stage on animejapan. As there will be minimum 6 months before S3 will air, i think it should be fine. The Re:Zero break time episodes for season 2 are a must watch if you're not a source reader as they add additional context to stuff they could not fit into the main running show. That being said, if you want to turn them into content for us, which i would love, you have to think about the format a bit as they're only 2 and a half minutes long each. They will def make for great discussion videos.

2024-03-20 04:33:54 +0000 UTCIt was not an animation mistake or lighting, Echidna's face IS different as confirmed from source material. This was supposed to be a reveal here in the anime (seeing her face). Remember that we did not see pre-graveyard Echinda's face in the Roswaal flashback.

2024-03-20 03:10:35 +0000 UTCI agree, I think it is fairly intentional that the anime is trying to frame him as more like-able, after he is incredibly hate-able throughout season 2. That or they were just trying to make it a more subtle threat, but subtleness doesn’t translate very well from Japanese to English sometimes. Certain characters just come off completely different in the novels as well, Emilia for example came off as much more sassy in the novels than she did in the anime.

2024-03-20 02:34:47 +0000 UTCI don’t speak Japanese well enough to know this, but my feeling from watching it is that the adaptation itself didn’t put it across well rather than simply the translation - the framing, the soundtrack, Roswaal’s delivery and Subaru’s reaction don’t bely the menace that I felt when I read it in the web novel. I feel like if the subtitles were accurate to the web novel it would seem almost incongruous to how the anime portrays what Roswaal is saying.

2024-03-20 01:38:07 +0000 UTCClarification because of the faulty CR subs, but on the final episode, what Roswaal speaks to Subaru is a threat: if anyone that Subaru has resolved to protect dies, Roswaal would kill the survivors, and then would be killed by the curse he planted on himself due to the contract-slash-bet with Subaru.

2024-03-20 01:25:56 +0000 UTCben pretty much nailed the whole deal with Echidna's looks I THINK? someone can correct me if I'm wrong. well yall lucked out with this one too since Season 3 should be right around the corner! If you ever wanted to keep in the world, the dub is pretty great imo and you can't go wrong with reading the light novels. Usually, manga for me aren't worth reading after an anime, but so much is cut from light novels that it's always good to read if you love the series.
