Can't see it. Am sad.

A little condescending don't you think

28:08 Anna, you are drastically underestimating emotional damage. It stays with you far longer than physical damage or pain.

And... the protaganist of the series breaks down. You see Homura's goal. Everything is for that. Also, love the word play of witch. Poor Kyubey getting all the blame, never lied, granted miracles, and demonized.

Now you know how girls their age can fight like that with their bodies. They are basically invincible no matter what happens to their bodies. So now you wonder: How did Mami die then, that shouldnt have killed her? Well her soul gem was on her head. So when her head got bitten down and chewed it got destroyed and thats how she died.

Hello again mods! I am once again here to request that Ben and Anna are informed to read/pay attention to the OP’s lyrics for episode 10! That is all! Thank you!

Anna is right.Homura really want to save sayaka, but she realized there was nothing she could do. She had the ability to kill Sayaka anytime anywhere but she didn't. If homura want, kyoko couldn't stop her at all.

lmao I love Ben and Anna so much. I cracked up at Ben discussing Homura's room, "I don't - I can't fathom it. There are so many candles and not all of them are lit. Why? Like, Homura, I want to talk to you and understand...there's like a swinging pendulum that's massive that all we see is the shadow of...there are gears hanging from the ceiling, and - this entire room- I don't understand it's functionality and I love it so much! It's the coolest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. There's one table, there's one table, and you know what? If you were on any of the bench or chairs around it, you probably couldn't even use the table." The shock to Ben's system going from Kamijo's hospital room - which had a perplexing and inexplicable surplus of chairs - to Homura's room - which had everything mentioned in his earlier quote plus no (traditional) chairs - was amazing. He solved one chair mystery on the surface level but still yearns for understanding the mechanism and process, "oh my god, we gotta talk about that..." Anna: "Cuz you like the chair?" (lol) Ben: "...well it answers our question! Not only like is the chair still under, but it says 'ABSENT'...I still wonder what does it. LIke, what causes the chair to come up?" On a more serious note, I may have noticed some subtle symbolism only because of ridiculously entertaining these chair shenanigans. The surplus of chairs in Kamijo's room could symbolize the overwhelming support (or at least desire to support from family, doctors, Sayaka, even magic! etc.) and hope that he can fix the problem of his hands; meanwhile, the complete absence of a single chair in Homura's room (I wouldn't even call them benches, as they have no SUPPORT, they are essentially rigid platforms) could symbolize how alone she is in her journey, with no support from anyone, of trying to fix the problem of Madoka's fate from the other timeline.

They actually DID show many hints that Homura can manipulate time. Her ability to "teleport" being one of them. She also seemingly knew most of the characters before getting introduced to them, additionally Kyubey implying he HAD to have given her her powers, but also doesn't remember giving it to her. Homura also appeared to feel a bit of jealousy or distain when Madoka was talking about never forgetting her, which makes sense if she already forgot who she is.

Joshua

Her egg also turned into a grief seed, which hints she isn't a familiar

Kyuubey is such a great character and portrayed so well that even before you have any reason to question its motives you just feel unsettled every time Kyuubey is present. Kyuubey is like the perfect depiction of Satan as the deceiver that offers deals at a price. You might try to assume their motives and try to outplay them but you were never playing the same game to begin with. (The game was rigged from the start - Fallout New Vegas)

AngieAngelFish

Kyuubey did nothing wrong

Love this episode. Love this series. Can't wait for you to see the opening of the Pandora's Box that is Homura Akemi 😁

Upgraded my patron tier just to watch this episode reaction early

Mami’s ability isn’t really the guns actually! It’s pretty interesting her wish was wishing for life so her power is the ribbons of life. She can make anything out of them that she knows the parts of I believe? A little less sure on that part but I’m pretty sure she makes the guns she does because of how simple they are in design and that’s why they aren’t the most efficient with one shot each.

According to Mami in episode 3, familiars "break off" from an existing witch and eventually grow into an identical witch to the one they broke off from. It seems similar to how corals and the like reproduce by budding, and it's clearly different from what happened to Sayaka in this episode.

You guys need a throne or something so we can buy you a kyubey plush XD

TheMightyAnt

I think this will endear Ben to that character

Also the "conversation" between those 2 a$$holes in the train, was an actual conversation that Gen Urobochi, the writer of this anime, overheard himself while riding a train.

And now, 7 more days... The next one has some very special moments for a very special character.

Some clever word play revealed in this episode: MAhou shouJO = magical girl MAJO = witch Soul Gem = SG Grief Seed = GS

It's time!
