Michael Hudson suggests that after WWII the USA dismantled the British Empire so it might feed on its bones. Do you think that while militarily the Ukrainians are going to loose the USA is still a winner because it has broken the EUs links with Eurasia and it can transfer wealth from there as a consolation prize to its failure to compete with China?

2023-08-31 19:01:38 +0000 UTCI think the State department is crazier since it's not constrained by any objective reality or awareness of history (since Russian- and Chinese-Studies are overwhelming dominated by Russia and China haters). I assume that even though the generals rise up by being the best yesmen for the people above them, they still retain a modicum of WWII history learned as cadets or in war colleges, and some acquaintance with US military logistics. Or maybe they just really want to fight China now.
