Wasn't meant as dismissive...what can I say about a book I haven't read? Everyone says it's good or great so I assume it is. There are very good monographs on the Kennedy assassination itself that I would like to read but haven't had the time. So it goes.

Aaron's 'I don't read fiction but i'd recommend it based on hearsay' is a weirdly myopic answer to a question about a book i've already read. I mean if you don't read fiction fine (although the line is so thin sometimes in this area that it kind of implies a blind spot about deep politics in general) but maybe others have, like Seamus obviously had, so why not defer in that case? I guess in a way i did get an answer to the question of why it is that a novel that goes so deeply into the topic by one of the great American writers isn't given much credence at this level as a source to be engaged with, because it's just fiction, a fanciful adornment to the real business of picking through the altered fictions that constitute our ideological reality. Parenti would have a book or two to write about the misconceptions and distortions imbedded in that attitude/state of affairs.

I was lucky enough to snag a PS5 during release year (i.e., spent hours of my work from home job each day running up to Christmas trying to order one out of the various drops lol), but have really mostly used to it watch 4K movies π©
