Dark Souls 2!
Added 2023-11-19 18:16:28 +0000 UTCHere is part 1 of Dark Souls 2 馃檪 still very concerned for this series but I'm not in a good headspace to judge really so I am going to take your feedback very seriously! I tried my best on this one hahaha. Hoping to get part 2 out asap, then I'm open to your advice! An update post is incoming so bear with me. I thought what I played so far was great and beautiful and the MUSIC??! 馃槶
So I'm very happy and open to it so far 馃槉 god knows what's going to happen when we get further in and the build falls apart at the seams hahahaha

2023-11-26 15:44:22 +0000 UTCPlease be careful if thinking of entering into the streaming arena. Nothing will ruin a good youtube gamer like streaming will. Constant spoilers. Paying attention to chat instead of the game. Being told what to do in real time instead of exploring on your own. Missing things constantly due to divided attention. All those things. Your videos are wonderful because of the attention that you give your games.

2023-11-20 18:48:18 +0000 UTCThis is going to be great. Magic (or hex) build feels great in this game and there's a lot of spells to find! You'll get the hang of ranged combat quick enough, you've always seemed quite adaptable to me haha. I love the way you look at the environments in the game and really take the time to enjoy them. DS2 has a bunch of pretty vistas, even though sometimes the colours feel a but muddied. It's really nice to see this level of exploration. I hope you have fun with this one, it's a lot different to DS1, but still a great game. (i hope this isn't too backseat-y) ADP is an important stat because it gives you Agility, which in turn gives your roll iframes. If you get Agility to 96 you'll have the same iframes as medium roll in DS, if you get it to 105 it's the same as the fast roll. The way the game starts with Agility basically lets you get hit even if you roll out of a hit sometimes, which just feels bad, hence why everyone will tell you to level ADP (or Attunement, which also gives Agility but in smaller amounts!) p.s. you CAN make that jump

2023-11-20 01:42:01 +0000 UTCThe torches are a bit of a wasted mechanic. In early demos, the game was so dark that in indoor areas you couldn't see anything unless you lit the torches. But then before release they brightened the game and left the torches in. They can be useful in some of the more maze-like areas for tracking where you've been.

2023-11-20 01:34:20 +0000 UTCLooking forward to this playthrough. Majula is my favourite hub zone of any fromsoft game, it's just so cozy and the music so soothing!

2023-11-19 23:10:46 +0000 UTCYessss very excited for this! I feel like magic runs that I've seen have been Harry Potter themed so I'm very happy that you went with Zuko instead. Magic builds are very good in this game but I haven't really used hexes before so I'm excited to see what that's like

2023-11-19 20:39:26 +0000 UTCI don't have any expertise knowledge on Dark Souls, so can't really say if the build will work or fall apart. What I can say is that the video was very fun and entertaining, as always! Looking forward to more :)

2023-11-19 18:55:47 +0000 UTCI'm so so so excited to watch this! And I'm really glad you're going for a hex build cause that's what I ended up doing as well and it was a lot of fun! It felt very unique to this game.

2023-11-19 18:50:37 +0000 UTCMy only experience with dark souls games is your videos and Emma鈥檚 videos. I鈥檓 very excited for this! You are always so engaging and fun to watch, so I鈥檓 not worried about it at all! Super down for a live watch! I do live on the west coast of the US so the times may not align but that鈥檚 totally fine 馃槃

2023-11-19 18:42:24 +0000 UTCDon't stress. Just play and enjoy. You always do great in these games 馃挭 (remember to level ADP!)

2023-11-19 18:41:46 +0000 UTCI appreciate DS2 a lot for its style and vibe; it's got a totally different feel and atmosphere to the other games that I like. My gripes with the game come purely from the gameplay and design, which I often found absolutely infuriating. It's the only FromSoft game I've completed only once if that says anything; every time I've gone back to give it another shot, I bounce off it hard. That's just my opinion though, I know a lot of people love this game and I respect that. I'm curious to see what you make of it :)
