Plans for pre and post 7.0!

Hello!

With 7.0 coming up within two months, we wanted to update everyone on our plans moving forward. To preface this, we want to remind everyone that information about how 7.0s graphical changes will impact mods is still developing, and so if large new developments come forward, they may impact our plans. However, as of right now with the information available to us, this is the plan!

Pre 7.0 mods in June
We will continue as usual, which means YES we will be releasing mods in June. Since the servers will be open until the very end of the month, you will still get your rewards for the month of June. Since this is our last month with our pre 7.0 OCs, we want to provide some content for the last screenshots before the update.

TLDR: June will still have new releases.

Plan for July
As of right now, it is looking like tools and fashion/hair mods will not be down for an exceedingly long period of time. ( This is subject to change if new developments happen with the tools and support for modding). Therefore, our goal is to pick back up as seamlessly as possible. We will be playing the new expac, of course, but we will not be taking time off of creating new content for you. However, we are at the mercy of when the tools come back up ( and we hope you will be patient along side us, as we want the modding community devs to be able to enjoy the game as well).

 TLDR: We will still be open and will release new content as soon as we are able.

Broken Mods
This is all subject to change based on 7.0 developments. But as of right now it looks as though fashion and hair mods will not be broken beyond repair, and it is possible that they can be updated to be compatible with the new graphics fairly painlessly. That being said, each creator will be handling updates to their backlog separately. Please check discord for details on this, and keep an eye out for announcements from each creator regarding updates and fixes.

TLDR: Hair and fashion mods won't be permanently broken. Stay tuned for backlog fix announcements as we get more information.


Will I have to pay again for mods that get updated/fixed for 7.0?
No! If a mod is updated/fixed for 7.0, you will be given the update for free, since you already purchased the mod. We will have a system set up for verifying the subscription, so you don't need to worry about digging up receipts if you were subbed and are no longer subbed. We can do that on our end.

TLDR: If you already purchased the mod, you will not need to pay again to access the updated version!


We hope that answers some questions and puts you guy at ease. We are always going to consider you all when we're making plans to tackle the expansion update, but things are still a little bit uncertain due to the fact things are still developing, so we ask that you be patient alongside us as we wait to hear and learn more. But know that we are thinking about you, and how to make this all as smooth as possible!
