April Apologies

HeyJ guys!  I'd like to take a moment today and fill you all in on our recent progress... or lack thereof...

As many of you no doubt noticed, we had an incredibly dull April on YouTube, posting only two "original" projects: an April Fools/FNAF Night 4 tie-in, and a short and silly song about the Pokémon Onix.  Compared with most months, that's a very weak set of uploads -- and perhaps one you wouldn't normally choose to support on Patreon.

We owe you explanations more than excuses, though, so let me get down to it.  FNAF The Musical is coming, and it's become bigger than we planned.  We start filming in about one week, and I just rewrote part of the script to now include a destructible wall.  You can imagine the "logistic concerns" that arise from last-second choices like this... and FNAF has been full of them.

Those choices have slowed a lot of progress on other musicals -- musicals you maybe want more than FNAF.  Our April lineup clearly suffered.  We believe spending most of our attention making FNAF as great as we can will prove to be a good choice, but as our faithful Encounterers, you have the right to disagree.

I want to apologize to all of you who maybe feel slighted, particularly as Patreon Encounterers.  Some of you would probably have preferred a better Onix Song than a better FNAF musical.  Some of you may not even want to support FNAF anymore -- and if you don't, please feel free to decline your Patreon pledge for now.  You're our Encounterers, not our hostages!

Because of certain cast members, I can't guarantee yet what to expect this month. You can be sure we'll be open with you about our plans, though. Watch our REports videos here on Patreon each week if you want to monitor our progress or find out more.

Thanks for supporting RE and once again, I apologize for focusing so much on FNAF lately, at the expense of a lot of other games and projects.  I hope our handling of this series hasn't disappointed you.  We look forward to finishing Five Nights at Freddy's this month and returning to a fun, more reliable musical schedule. :)

In all honesty, I don't mind at all. I'm happy with whatever you put forth, as I know how this must be a stressful time for you. Keep working hard, I know you'll get through it! :)

I'll admit I did look back at April and wonder a bit about upcoming stuff, but hey, things don't always go the way you plan. And we totally get that. It's reassuring to know that you have a clear picture of where you want your priorities to be, though, and I can't wait to see the results of your efforts :) Keep chuggin on! We're here for ya.

It's alright :) I was glad I saw my name at the end of the musical, and I still enjoyed everything! Stay potato!
