Hey, I didn't know Japan called her Peach pre-Mario 64. I always thought Princess Toadstool was her original name. Good job making me learn things, too, Aiden!

I enjoyed it despite the fact that my sleepy, just-woke-up brain spent most of the time staring at AJ's shirt wondering why it had NES era sprites yet used names (Bowser and Peach) that weren't used until later. However, after the video I looked up the original Super Mario Bros. manual and learned that although Bowser was commonly called "King Koopa" back then his name was listed as "Bowser, King of the Koopa." Still, I knew Princess Toadstool wasn't renamed to Peach until Mario64. Alas, I was wrong again! Although she was called Toadstool for many years here in the US, that was because the original localization team decided to change her name when translating the game to English. In Japan, her name has always been Peach. Good job making me learn things, AJ!
