Weekly REport: Location SCOUTing!
Added 2015-03-17 07:49:00 +0000 UTCAs Captain Toad would say, "READY FOR ADVENTURE!" I assume you read that in my Toad voice, which made it all the worse. http://youtu.be/tMUq3LFbxPw

Well, purple guy or psychotic TF2 character. Did he have one eye, was he standing near a dispenser, or polishing a mini-gun? (In all cases I would still run away here)

2015-03-18 02:04:13 +0000 UTCI wouldn't approach McGukkit without brushing up on some psycho hillbilly research first anyway, he's a bit of a loon. Good thing he didn't let the dog after you! Perhaps give that location a miss, unless he wants to be in a musical? You might have found your 'purple guy'!

2015-03-18 02:00:35 +0000 UTCYour observation is eerily on-point... What's NOT on video is me bringing Peter to the truck graveyard later in the day so he could see it himself, and we took a different path. Then we froze and whispered, "There's a man over there watching us in a trailer. He's got a dog." So we crept back out of there as fast as possible, half-expecting to be shotgunned in the back. Then again, maybe he was a friendly hobo like McGukkit! Think we should of waved hello? :P
Random Encounters
2015-03-17 19:04:40 +0000 UTCThat last place looked EXACTLY like a place in Gravity Falls, where an amiable hobo called McGukkit lives, which means you were probably trespassing on somebody's (squatted) property. Good reason to be creeped out. And the first place just looks like someone gave up on the warehouse they were building, like a 3 year-old with LEGO. I like the grain mill and the huge bulldozed area you were looking at, but it would be hard to film on the road... Hope that phone call works out for you and you get your first choice of location! (That Toad voice though.)
