I hate to hear that about the later seasons but also glad to hear there is at least one more season of quality Witcher as I absolutely love Geralt as a character.

2025-11-01 21:09:35 +0000 UTCNow for the comment I meant to make. Just to clarify some concepts from this world - It was not "dramatic buildup" that Yennefer did not use fire magic until she did. This is not Dungeons & Dragons where you can toss off a fireball with no consequences other than needing to memorise the spell again overnight. There is a reason why none of the "good mages" used fire. She did not use Fire Magic because in their world it burns away your life. The more that you use it, the less there is of you left behind. You become an empty shell. At the end, those who use fire magic start getting burns from being closer and closer to their own flames. Until they die in ecstasy as they burn themselves to death. So using fire from the start is almost asking someone to commit suicide. You saw what it did to the Nilfgardian magic users who cast those huge fireballs - they were consumed down to nothing with one spell. The "good mages" hoped to win without killing themselves by using fire. Aside from that, I know exactly what you mean about the lack of the Witcher on-screen. If you thought Geralt was being "sidelined" here then you have seen nothing yet. In series 3 the woke writers are in full control and he is a strong male character, and that is unacceptable to them. Geralt is barely in some of those episodes at all. This is part of the reason why Henry Cavill left. They were imposing their political ideals on the show and that is REALLY not acceptable. They even changed the sexuality of one main character for no reason other than to fit their own agenda. No, no, no. These people ruin everything that they touch. But there is still series 2 before then and it does have it's moments. :-)

2025-11-01 20:49:01 +0000 UTCI have just watched this reaction and I am making a fast comment before my main one because I like you and it's just in case you are making cut-down versions of these for youtube. There is a critical "lost in translation" moment where you say: "To my British viewers, she is not a bitch she is a c***." That C word is absolutely NOT used as a substitute for bitch, or in any other acceptable way. I do not know if I am your only British viewer here, but we do not use that word. If you said it in public then everyone who heard you would look at you in disgust, then in utter contempt, then turn their backs on you for the rest of your life. In computer terms, saying that word is an "unrecoverable disc error" and it means the end of your interaction with people. The word "bitch" is obviously nowhere near as bad. I am trying to think of words that I am prepared to type to give you an example of how bad that C word is here to most people, but I do not want to type them. If I called you a "child-raping motherf*" then that is not as bad as the C word, and I'm not typing anything worse than that. I hate even typing those words as an example. If you called a man a C to his face then there would be no more words, there would be an instant attack in response. Not just a punch, but continuous attacks until you were not conscious anymore. Having watched your reactions, I honestly do not think that you realised how that word is viewed here. I have watched Bill Hicks on stage and I was not worried about his language at all, and he said "Suck Satan's C***" many times when referring to modern musical "artists" and the deals they make to be successful. In comparison, they used "bitch" in the comedy series "Friends" 30 years ago, so that one does not cause a problem at all for most people. Sorry for the long message. I only typed this because I love your reactions and I did not want you to include that word in any youtube videos just because you thought it was a "mild word." If you were British and used that word, knowing how offensive it is, then I would immediately cancel any memberships and ties with you that I had. It is that bad to the vast majority of us. Now back to the gentle world of reactions. Take care chap. :-)
