Between this episode and the last one, I choose the latter but it is a close run thing. Jack (and to a lesser extent Daniel) do their best to save this episode but the humour of O'Neill and the scientists in the last episode edge it out for me. That said both are definitely episodes I skip on rewatches and would even flick past if they are on tv.

It pushes the (false) narrative that a person is captured as just some data that can be transferred to and from a (primitive) computer system. And yes, this is one of those "shipping" episodes, and I suspect the entire premise of the story was made up so the writers could have a shipping episode.
