It amazing that we hear that the Russian advance in Adkiika was successful in part to poor flying conditions. This is akin to the 1944 Ardennes Offensive. The West must "pull their finger out" and give Ukraine what it needs to take their land back. In Australia we have a small fleet of multi-role NH90 helicopters we have decommissioned that the government would rather bury than give to Ukraine.

There was an article a while ago, I believe it was the WSJ, comparing the attitude of independents toward Trump in the last election versus this upcoming one and it really looked like he lost a lot of ground in that constituency. If it is true that independents decide the result of election, that is a problem for him, but my guess is his strategy is to win key states where independents don't count so much. Who knows, American electoral politics are so complex, but I totally agree with you in that it seems so perplexing that "normal" republicans are completely stymied.

Why haven’t some moderate republicans said “enough is enough” and sided with dems to get an Ukraine bill passed? Trump will be crushed in this upcoming election because independents hate him more than they dislike Biden. Stop fearing Trump and his zealots.
