XBLAH's Modding Tool has changed a lot since the beginning. From the alpha and beta versions to V1, supporting more engine branches on each update, evolving from a simple Hammer auto-setup to an almost complete modding IDE with V2. The tool is great, and I use it every time I work with GoldSrc or Source. It's one of the shortcuts in my taskbar. But while you are enjoying V2, I need to start thinking what V3 is gonna be.

If you've tried to move to Unreal or Unity or Godot or any other game engine after Source and GoldSrc, you might have felt what I feel right now. You just can't go if you are not a Programmer AND a Modeler AND a Level Designer. And what makes GoldSrc and Source so good? You can make a single map for HL2, you can make a single player campaign, you can convert everything and create a completely new game, with each iteration demanding more knowledge.

With XBLAH's Modding Tool V3, I wanna aim further than modding. I wanna give you the toolset to create games in a modern engine, with the workflow you are used. For that, I need to reach two, highly ambitious milestones: create a game engine and create a level editor.
