As much as last month was finished on a fairly tense note, hopefully this one will get some much needed resolution? At the very least we can hope so. All I know is that people that tested this one got real into it and thoroughly enjoyed it. At least for the Day 14 content. I heard less about Day 12 but I know less people are playing through that one knowing full well what it is. That said, the situation over there continues to develop and in ways that are not necessarily good.
What's missing in this build?
Honestly, nothing. I got a couple new tracks in there and I've deliberately omitted adding CGs to the gallery in hopes that the new gallery will be done soon at least on a programming front.
Plan for next build!
Next update is going to be a strange one. Given it falls right in the middle of NaNoWriMo, I imagine it'll be something akin to what I produced last year. For those that don't remember, it was the entirety of Benson's death scenario and all outcomes for that. Chances are it won't be quite the same but I'd like to push towards Day 15/16 if I can, and bring the Path C and D up to 14 if I can. It'll mostly just hinge on how well I go in the first half of the month. December's going to be the odd one to throw things out with Christmas but I'll make a post about it if it becomes a problem when we're a bit closer.

Ahh, excellent, thank you for that! I do really enjoy the back story, so I'm happy he has his own name! ^^ Thanks for clearing it all up for me, I'm really loving the game!

2020-10-18 03:35:28 +0000 UTCA long while back people wished for Dave to be his own person rather than someone who has a fleshed out and established character but not a name locked in. So, the decision was made after it being thrown about and voted on to lock his name in for future playthroughs. Given people already had saves going, I still refer to Dave using the same variable so it's consistent, but eventually that'll come to an end too. As far as David, depending on how far you've gotten, that's his dad's name, whereas Dave is just David Jr but goes by Dave (or whatever the player named him if it's an old save) for ease of distinguishing between the two of them at home.

I'm not sure if it's on purpose or a bug (or even just something weird with my version), but the last few versions, when I try to start a new game, whether I enter a name or not, I get named Dave. Also, the dream sections seem to call me David instead of the name I chose in the games I already had a name saved for.

2020-10-17 21:46:33 +0000 UTCGreat update Grizz, I enjoyed it a lot. You know how to tell a story in a great way. Great art, great music, great writing. My only suffering with this update comes in the similarities between what happened in this Visual Novel and my own reality. I lost my dad two months ago and I could not stop crying like a baby because this update remembers me a lot of things of that moment. Even some of the things that Dave said were said by my siblings and I. Even with that thanks for the update. I think it was therapeutic.

The writing is superb and it's honestly nothing short of impressive to work on so many routes and include like...6? yeah that sounds right. 6 new cg's! Granted they're flats, but that amount of cg in one update and their quality is outstanding

I'm still breathless and I too wish to cry, I wish I had such people in my life, life hurts and you need people of any good kind to help you through it. This is the best version yet, that song labeled Goodbye really nailed the emotion home...coupled together with the art was...I've no words for such a moment...just thank you 🥺🥺🥺
