DOGVELOPMENT LOG #5: Post-PAX Plans! Key Art!
Added 2020-01-23 06:28:57 +0000 UTCYou know what's really cool? When everything clicks, and you see something that perfectly encapsulates the world you're creating. That's what Ben Chandler (of Wadjet Eye fame) made possible with the key art for An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs.

That picture is going to be front-and-center at a major showcase in the next couple months - and it's perfect. Joy and absurdity and quiet companionship at the end of your little universe. Everything I want folks to see, and feel, in Dog Airport Game.
We just finished showing at PAX South, where the response was absurdly positive. That isn't me valorizing the show in hindsight. From the way folks felt about the boarding passes, to the pitch, to the game itself, seeing nothing but unbridled enthusiasm and understanding all weekend single-handedly restored my faith in its future. Even outside of my bubble of friends and peers, folks got it. And, for the little segment of time they spent with it, their lives were better.
I did a Twitter thread about the weekend, which I'm planning to add an epilogue to soon. Long story short: good things abound.
Speaking of good things...

You can now pet vending machines.
Aside from correcting the previous cosmic injustice of non-pettable vending machines, we're doing some content additions and bugfixes to finalize our build post-PAX South. Look out for that to land next week.
The future looks bright - in large part due to your support. Also, we've got a verified Discord server now.
Thank you!!

Is there something else in the game world that desperately deserves petting, but isn't getting it? Let me know in the comments!
