OpenForge Tools: Magnetic Clamps Released!

This week's release is a bit on the outside of normal for what we have been doing.  This isn't a tile, or terrain, it's a tool to help you more easily put the terrain we release together.  A few weeks ago we were watching a video on Terranscapes where he reviewed magnetic clamps, and we knew we had to make them.  A bunch of magnet purchases, experimenting with different filaments and some trial and error, and you get the release we have today.

We're finding them super useful as we assemble the ruined pieces we've been releasing of late, and thought this would make an interesting release.  We realize it's a bit outside our normal wheelhouse, so before we do any more tools releases in the future, we want to hear your feedback on if all of you find this kind of thing compelling.

So go, grab em on Thingiverse and let us know what you think in the comments!

Don't get me wrong. I will download it and print it as I will find uses for it. I just tend to use c grip clamps to hold the tiles.

It's true that ensuring 90 degrees is less of an issue on tiles themselves, though I've had more then a few that have gotten bumped and I find it badly glued later and have to pull them apart, so I've wanted a clamping solution for a while. I see the 90 degree thing as more valuable with the small parts construction kits like the scaffolding and docks. All that being said, this release has gotten substantially less engagement then normal, so I think I have the answer. In the future I'll stick to terrain instead of tools to help terrain construction.

Not understanding the need. If both surfaces are flat, we don't deal with thin enough pieces to make this worth while. If use how the original video did with thin wood, then yes.
