Arc reviews sounds like a lot of fun! This series benefits a lot from rereading/rewatching IMO. On your first watch you tend to forget so many details because it's just so long and there are so many characters and locations and concepts to keep track of. Also you'll hopefully spot some of the foreshadowing, because there's a lot of it.

2025-08-18 20:49:18 +0000 UTCLaw is a great character, and I can't wait to see your reaction to future scenes with him, which I find very entertaining. xD And yes, when people start One Piece, they're terrified of the length, but then everyone reaches a point where they're scared of catching up with the show and it reaching its ending. I was 14 years old when I started my One Piece journey in 2004. So I caught up very quickly. xD

2025-08-16 21:30:47 +0000 UTCIf you switch to One pace for a couple arcs post time skip, you might catch up in 1.5 years instead of 2ish. I know a lot of people won't agree with me but there is a certain arc with intolerable pacing that I think is better in One pace.

Also, I have always loved how massively anachronistic the medical technology is in One Piece compared to the rest of the setting. Law got EKGs and IVs and probably a defibrillator stashed somewhere.
